Convoy Rules

Convoy Rules

Speed - the speed should be proportionate to the convoy. Therefore, avoiding going so fast or slow that you are no longer with us.

Restricted Speed - as of 18th of February 2021, all convoy events will be restricted to a speed up to 60 mph, and the minimum safe speed allowed is 25 mph.

Overtaking - you may overtake other road users when safe and necessary, but avoid overtaking the leader of the convoy unless they have asked you to do so.

Admin Command - you must listen and follow the commands given by staff or admin members of this VTC during the event.

Distance - consider leaving a space between yourself and the vehicle ahead, especially if: you do not know the driver, or if there is risk of lag.

Trailer - when attending an event with us, please use a single box trailer, so as to not cause convoy flow issues.

Oversized Trailers - this type of trailer is only allowed if instructed by a convoy admin.

Headlights - avoid using high beams unless safe and necessary.

Arrival - consider arriving 5-10 mins before the convoy starts to avoid causing unnecessary delay to the event.

Fuel - consider refuelling before the convoy event, so as not to inconvenience the convoy.

Beacons - please avoid using beacons unless appropriate for your load.
