Congratulations Duchess on becoming Driver of the Month January!

IronDuchess stands out like a sore thumb in the VTC, when it comes to driving distances. Coming in at half a million kilometers in four months, driving over 50.000 kilometers per month!

She is always particularly involved with our discord and cares dearly for the members. She looks out for the well-being of the community, keeping it a friendly and healthy place.

IronDuchess never turns down a convoy and loves to have a chat about her hobbies and interests! She is always suggesting new ideas, and clever innovations to help grow the VTC.

Thank you for driving with us for such a long time, you are doing an amazing job and we love to see you feel at home here in Rising.

This week was another competitive week among the drivers and the staff team flaunting pictures with winter themes and eloquently showing their trucks with Rising Livery. This week was won by GreenPepper2 with his simplistic group photo but the same photo expresses a lot of hidden meaning! This week's runner ups were really close and also deserve an equal shout-out

Introduction:

As Event Team we introduced a convoy rating system after we attended a convoy.
As Driver you now can give your vote for the convoy on a rate scale of 5. (1 is bad - 5 is very good) Please vote after you attended the convoy. We, as Event Team, can see how good or bad a convoy was from a Driver view perspective.
Please do not vote bad if you don’t like the VTC or got rammed by a driver in the convoy. the voting is for how well the convoy was. CC messages, guiding from the Event Team in the convoy and things like that.

Public Convoy:

We also hosted our own Public convoy 19th of August. There was a bit less attendance from Rising Drivers and public people. We had around 30 trucks driving in our convoy.
Thank you Tropical for making the profile and Slakkie for doing all the Supervisor work while we did the convoy.

Event Team changes:

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Slakkie as Event Manager.
We want to thank him for his work. You are a Legend.
We will see him on the road as a Rising Logistics Driver.

We want to welcome Gummy in the Event Team. He is going to help us with CC.

Thank you for attending and see you at the next convoy.

His efforts impressed us greatly this month, with a strong convoy presence, joining us at 7 convoys. His performance was most notable, in his dedication to earn 533XP in just one month! We were glad to see he was not afraid to hit the road a lot; clocking up 23 800 kilometers.

It's always a pleasure to see him frequently in voice chat and we were delighted to see him working together with others on our Farming Sim server.

Once again, congratulations to Shulgin for being our Driver of the Month!

4 - In the Rising Casual Private Convoy, we enjoyed a relaxed drive with cargo restrictions. It was all about having a great time with friends and bringing whatever you wanted along for the ride. From traversing the peaceful mountain passes of Munich to reaching Klagenfurt, we had a fun time!

24 Hour Drive

How does it all started with the 24h drive?

Shulgin, DEFIANCE and TheRealCloudMan | SiGHD were driving together as a friendly drive. Just logging jobs and having fun together. Then there was an idea born. Let's do a 24 hour drive together. They all agreed on that. Planned a date that suits all 3 of them. They started to ask around if people wanted to join and I (Stappat) said yes, of course I am going to join.

The date was planned to start on Friday, 22nd of July 2023, starting at 19:00 UTC time.

Friday, 22-07-2023 19:00 UTC
Start of the drive: Defiance, Shulgin, SighHD and Stappat logged in to TruckersMP, ProMods before the timer started. We started in Prague, Czech Republic and the Dispatcher Bingo decided we are driving towards Göteborg, Sweden. Gummy tagged along to drive with us, but not for the whole 24 hours.
We started easy, but that didn't last long. Before we knew it it was full speed to the end destination. As we were hunted down by the cops, FBI, CIA etc. This was a trend that haunted us the whole 24 hours. Driven: App. 845 KM.

As we arrived in Göteborg the next destination from there was Györ, Hungary. An app. 1550 KM drive.

From Györ we went to Cambridge in the UK, as the Dispatcher Bingo told us. 1651 KM. Now R-män tagged along with this also.

From Cambridge we went to Karesuando, Sweden. An app. 3370 KM drive. R-män logged off, but he was replaced by Dispo, Gummy decided it was time for his (beauty) sleep after this job and logged off.

From Karesuando we went to Huelva, Spain. The Dispatcher Bingo decided that we needed a longer distance drive. App. 5200 km. In this drive Stappat had to cancel the job. 100% damage on truck, trailer and cargo in an accident with SigHD. Loading an Autosave didn't worked sadly. (ProMods issue sometimes.) I picked a new job in Bordeaux and we continued our journey. While we were doing this job the time passed midnight and it became Saturday. Dispo decided it was time for his (beauty) sleep and logged off.

From Huelva we went to Tallinn, Estonia. App. 4350 KM drive.

From Tallinn we went to Sanok, Poland. App. 1260 KM drive. After this job, Defiance was called for an emergency at work. As he is a firefighter these things happen.

From Sanok we went to Constanța, Romania. App. 1325 KM drive. While we were driving, Shulgin had to stop and logging off. He already explained in this chat why. This was unfortunately, but SigHD and me were dedicated to finish the drive. From this point we drove together for a couple of hours.

From Constanța we went to Akureyri, Iceland. App. 3775 KM. SigHD didn't explored the middle road in Iceland and wanted to do that. This job we did not used the Dispatcher Bingo. Along the drive Gummy was awake and decided to tag along again. The road in the middle of Iceland was of course challenging, but fun. After this drive Gummy had to go for IRL stuff.

From Akureyri we went to Felixstowe, UK. App. 1900 KM.

From Felixstowe we went to Žuta Lokva, Croatia. App. 1800 KM. After we logged our jobs we had to F7 to Zagreb. SigHD had a different end destination and there was no pick up point. We ended up in Zagreb as nearest city.

From Zagreb we went to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. App. 1370 KM. R-män and Dispo were back online and waited in Amsterdam to tag along the next drive.

From Amsterdam we went to Kristiansand, Norway. App. 1015 KM.

From Kirstiansand we went to Ковель, Urkrain, App. 1725 KM.

From Ковель we went to Fort William. App. 3050 KM. Shulgin was back and joined us. Defiance came back half way and Gummy tagged along in Manchester.
The Degenerates were together again. At this point we ended up 1.5 hours before we finished the 24 hours. One drive to go.

From Fort William we went to Chemnitz, Germany. App. 2150 KM. After this job we finished just over 24 hours.

A lot happened in the drive, we talked a lot about almost everything. Even things I can not tell in here (no bad things ). We had a blast and a lot of laughs. I liked it a lot and definetely I am going to join the next one.

Overall:
SigHD: 24 hours completed Check

Stappat: 24 hours completed Check

Defiance: 24 hours completed Failed (but had more important things to do, like saving people. Thank you for that. He still did around 12-13 hours and was awake more than 40 hours due to his work,)

Shulgin: 24 hours completed: Failed (but had health issues and needed to get that fixed. That is more important and we wish you well. Still did around 14-15 hours.)

I want to thank everyone who joined and participated in this challenge.
