LANFest is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that holds computer and console gaming events to raise awareness and resources for local and regional charities. LANFest began in 2002 as a group of Intel employees who gathered together to play video games after work. This group invited other friends and family to join the gaming, and soon they were hosting an event that included over 250 people. Realizing that they could make a difference in the world, the founders reached out to other groups around the United States to join their cause and specifically promoted the idea of keeping any proceeds that were generated in the local community. Fundamental to this group was the idea of creating a safe community that they could bring their small children to.

LANFest is currently consisting of 16 chapters and we are constantly growing every day. LANFest is currently raising money to fight with National and Local Charities against COVID-19.
