The night FFSteve bit the dust

On a beautiful moonlit night Ike's Army gathered for a night of driving. Up the 5 we headed with our trucks gleaming in the moon lit roadway. All of a sudden with no warning FFSteve hit his parking brake. And as everyone knows this brings a truck to a roaring stop. Into the rear of FFSteves truck goes Doc. Now we know there was no way for Doc to avoid this. But none the less a good laugh was had by all. The remaining pieces and parts of FFSteves truck were swept up and gathered in a plastic bag. Not that Doc left any parts any bigger than a deck of cards. When the laughing was over we gathered up and headed off Northbound on the 5 into the moonlight.

The Nightly Debate

One of the Debates on a drive a few nights ago was about Brakes!

So one night while driving We started Talking about brakes. You may ask why? Well personally I don't remember why but the debate lasted about 2 hours. We debated about the cost of drum brakes versus disk brakes, the stopping effectiveness, and what's more economical, for mileage .

We decided for Semi trucks drum brakes are more efficient and for cars it would be pointless.

Hey there folks, just wanted to throw out a message about how proud that I am of all of my drivers! They are all hard chargers, considering that we have under 20 drivers and still manage to attain top 25 or above status most months. Teamwork, dedication, and professionalism are the cornerstones of our VTC combined with team players, which helps to make a sweet combination. Keep it going guys and girls; all of you are doing awesome!

A little background on many of our drivers, some of us are either retired truck drivers or current ones with many ranges of experience over the years. Personally, I am in RL a member of the million mile club and have been both a company driver and an owner operator. I have hauled nearly everything including van, reefer, tanker, flatbed, lowboys, triples, doubles, containers, you name it, with all sorts of loads. It was a fun but also frustrating several years. I also had an international CDL and hauled loads in Europe for a short time, but that was very frustrating!

We have many discussions on discord ranging from trucks to movies and music and simply life in general. So come in and check us out.

8 Months ago, Ike's Army Trucking was created.

Initially It started small and modest with only 2 guys. But in those 8 months we have managed to grab the interest of the Ike's Army Grognards in this game. but we've also managed to interest quite a few new members into joining our community.

We've had our bumps in the road here and there of course, but Ike's Army has been a gaming community for neigh on 2 decades now and still doesn't show any signs of stopping any time soon. Any hopefully some times soon, Ike's Army Trucking will get Validated as a VTC by TruckersMP.
