Brand new Drivers Hub

• This has definitely been in the works for the longest time ever! Essentially, in our eyes, what a Drivers Hub is, is a platform or a website where Drivers can receive information such as tutorials, resources, and more. Our brand-new Drivers Hub highlights all of that, with access to content you wouldn't find elsewhere, such as our tag, paint jobs, downloadable content and most importantly.

Beta version of our new website! We've recently decided to change the platform and language in where we operate our website from. The change from "domene.shop" to "Vercel.app" was simply due to the options that vercel provides and the ease updating the website through Github rather than having to enter console every time we need to do a minor change. After some tinkering around the website, we've also come to the conclusion that we'll be having a two part application process, where we'll be acquiring a sub-domain as well as the main website. This is still in beta, meaning that we haven't completed the whole website yet, especially considering this language is still relatively new for us. We've decided to move from PHP over to React/Next.js due to this generally being a better language in our opinion, and it is easier to add more stuff to this new website. A result of this may be that the website will be down for a couple of days. We will try to get the new site up and running as soon as possible, however patience is required for this. What has changed in our VTC this month?

Primary Color

• This month, we've decided to change our VTC primary colors. We had some internal discussion regarding our old, blue primary color being really similar to another company, and it has resulted in us changing the most prominant color of our VTC. This has been for the better anyways as we've always wanted to differentiate ourselves with other company's, and doing this is just the first step. The blue was also commonly used in other VTC's, and we found it to be "too" common. The reason for the "salmon" red was simply to stand out, and we believe this was the right move. The color Red is a dominant color and looked great with the "Titan Express" tag and livery.

Website

• Our website now has a "gallery" section so that members can submit their pictures. This is done by simply sending a picture in the "photo-of-the-month" channel on our discord. We are still not sure whether or not we want to have a set amount of photos or if we want to just make it so that an unlimited amount of photos can get in.
• We've finally integrated an "application submitted" screen so that the applicant now can confirm that they've submitted the application. The reason for this was due to the amount of people not being sure whether or now they'd fully submitted the application or not.
• We've done some minor updates, including updating the "Our Team" page so that it looked a bit more clean and that there would be no scroll (atleast for users on desktop). The page now shows the management at the first row, followed by the development team. We're also planning on introducing the event team on the website when members join. We've also fixed the "Why did you choose Titan Express" question so that it actually mentions Titan Express and not "Titan Transport Logistics". This was a change that should've happened a long time ago, but we overlooked it and it ended up staying for a while.

Driver of the month

This month, our activity has been extremely high. The only time we've been over this was at the first month of our existence! Our total for this month has been at 152 734km for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and 2 522mi for American Truck Simulator (well thats a first). The person with the most Kilometers this month is Psychopath Gaming, with a staggering 44 531km / 27 670mi. Sietsuuuhh comes close with 43 739km / 27 178mi.

The reason for the name change was due to how lengthy and "wordy" it was. As a new VTC, this made it difficult and less appealing for newer recruits as it might've suggested that this was a complicated VTC. "Titan Express" in a way has interested newer people to join this VTC.

With this, we also decided to change our slogan as it was heavily connected to the old name of Titan. The new "You can always count on us" indicates that we are a trustworthy VTC that will have your back. We always aspire our drivers, and therefore we are always looking for feedback and always helping whoever is in need.

We've also changed our logo for similar reasons to the slogan. We wanted to change up the look of our logo as the previous one just had text in it. The current edition showcase a mountain while still keeping the ring around as it would be easier to adapt to that.

We hope everyone is doing great! We recently had a management meeting to catch up on all things Titan Express and thought it’d be a good idea to share what’s going on behind the scenes. We talked about events, driver activity, and some cool things we’re working on. But before we dive in, we really want to hear what you think! Whether you’ve got suggestions or feedback, we’d love to know. After all, this VTC is a team effort!

1. Job Logging & Titan Express Hub

We’re working on something exciting: a Titan Express Hub! This will be a new platform where members and VTC reps can handle everything VTC-related in one place. That said, we’re moving at a slower pace because it’s not our biggest priority right now. We’re also thinking about moving away from Trucksbook to a new system that better fits our needs.

We’d love to know what you think about Trucksbook. Do you like it, or would you prefer a new system? And what features would you want to see in the Titan Express Hub? Your thoughts will help shape the future of this project!

2. Activity Levels

We’ve noticed a drop in overall activity, including from management. First off, we want to say sorry for not being as active lately. Life’s been busy with work, school, and other real-world stuff that sometimes gets in the way. But now that summer vacations are over, we’re planning to step it up and get back on track!

We’ve also seen fewer jobs being logged by drivers. We’ve already made it easier by lowering the requirements, but we’re open to suggestions on how we can motivate everyone to get more involved. Got any ideas? Let us know!

We’ve also cut back on participating in events, sticking to Friday and Saturday convoys for now. What else can we do to get that awesome Titan Express crew back out there? We miss those good times when a small but fun group of us showed up and had a blast at convoys!

3. The Titan Express Look

Our bright red and dark gray livery has become a bit of a trademark for us on TruckersMP, even though it was meant to be temporary. We’ve been rocking it for almost a year now, but we’re starting to think about a fresh look.

While we’re still brainstorming, we’d love to hear your ideas! If you’ve got any creative thoughts for a new design (especially for ATS), feel free to share them with us. Who knows, your idea might just become our new look!

4. What’s Next?

These are the main things we’re focused on right now, but as always, we want to hear from you. Titan Express wouldn’t be what it is without all of you, and we truly believe that with your input, we can make things even better!

As August comes to a close, we hope everyone enjoyed their summer vacations and took the well-deserved break. With schools reopening and the summer season winding down, we anticipate some changes in our community's activity levels. 1. Success of New Event Policies

We're pleased to report that our new event policies have been a success so far! Since implementing the changes to focus on events primarily on Fridays and Saturdays, we've been booked on almost every available date. This strong response is encouraging, and now we must focus on showing up in full force to make these events a true success. Your participation is crucial, and we're confident that together we can make a significant impact in the VTC community.

Due to vacations and the beautiful weather across Europe, overall activity in August was somewhat low. However, we want to extend our gratitude to everyone who hit the roads this month, especially our top 5 most active drivers:

Managing this wonderful community has been an incredible journey, but as a team, we’ve realized that balancing the responsibilities of running the VTC with our personal priorities—such as work, education, and family—has become too challenging.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our drivers, staff, and supporters for making Titan Express such a vibrant and special community over the years.

A New Opportunity with Pean Logistics

To ensure a smooth transition for our loyal drivers, we’ve partnered with Pean Logistics to provide a place for most of our member base. While joining Pean Logistics is not mandatory, we wanted to ensure you have a reliable option to avoid hopping between VTCs in search of the right fit. We highly recommend them as a welcoming and organized community where you can continue your virtual trucking journey.

Important Note for VTC Representatives

For our fellow VTC representatives, all slots currently booked and occupied by Titan Express for events can now be made available for other VTCs. As we step back, we want to ensure there’s no disruption to the broader community and its convoy schedules.

| Started from the bottom, now we here!

Its mind-blowing to see how we started as a small friend group looking to drive on TruckersMP, and ended up as a Validated VTC expanding day by day, opening up to a huge community and supporters to push through on our journey to become the go-to VTC for everyone!

On this fantastic trip, we revisited where we first started our first official convoy, back when we were known as "Titan Transport Logistics". We invited a bunch of awesome truckers to join us on our lovely drive from Vienna , all the way to Hannover , just at the place we ended our first convoy. This is a moment of history we definitely will remember for years to come, and it's all thanks to you guys!

On the 6th of April, 2024, we celebrated a year of Titan Express. At 17:00 UTC, The event server opened, and almost all the company slots were filled. At 17:45, the first crowd set off from Bratislava , and then the rest from Vienna ,where we set off to depart on our memorable journey.

As soon as we arrived in Hannover , we started our Truckfest, where we chose winners in different categories, including rewards for:

• Best Attending VTC - Rewarded to GT Legion
• Best VTC Formation - Rewarded to Marshall International VTC
• Best looking Truck - Rewarded to saladqueen13
• Best Picture from Convoy (Yet to be decided)

Titan Express was created and founded on the 6th of April 2023 by ImHelix, followed by Psychopath Gaming and ValCord. We aim to provide drivers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and TruckersMP with a fun and enjoyable experience while in Titan Express. We also aim to provide the community with enjoyable convoys and events when applicable (exceptions apply). We pride ourselves in always being professional but always ensure we have fun and enjoy our trips.

Statistics (at the time of writing this)

• Total Drivers: 60

• Staff team members: 9

• Total distance driven (within the company):

  • Euro Truck Simulator 2: 1 951 918 Km
  • American Truck Simulator: 89 714 Mi

What is going on (at this time)?

At this time, we're experiencing a lack of engagement around our drivers and general interest in the company has slowly died down. Seen in the graph below, the entirety of the spring season has been stabilizing at around 100k km per month, which mildly concerns us. Understandably, this season has its fair share of excuses, like exams etc., however this concerns us as we grow larger day by day with more and more staff and members join. The amount of kilometers per driver is dropping rapidly as we can see.

This season has also let us look at some insight in small, hidden info regarding how many applicants we've had in this season in total. We've seen a total of 13 applicants in the span of Spring 2024. This may look like it is a lot, however when we compare it to the Winter season, where we see a total of 32 applicants (This includes hired and declined drivers).

Actions to move change this trajectory

After having a staff meeting regarding these claims, we've decided to do the following:

• Attend less events

This is done to dim down the stress of having drivers attending every single one. We'd rather have more people attending two events in a week than having 2 or less attending several convoys)

• Change the requirements of each member
  • Minimum of 500km per month
  • Attend at least 1 event per month

This is done to get people to join more events, and generally showcasing Titan Express in its entirety for just how good we are.

PS: WE WILL MOVE FORWARD WITH THIS STARTING IN AUGUST 2024

This is done so that we still can show up as attending to the convoys we have accepted for the following 3 months, and to get time to shift and adjust the staff teams' future work.

Alpha version of our new website! We've recently decided to change the platform and language in where we operate our website from. The change from "domene.shop" to "Vercel.app" was simply due to the options that vercel provides and the ease updating the website through Github rather than having to enter console every time we need to do a minor change. After some tinkering around the website, we've also come to the conclusion that we'll be having a two part application process, where we'll be acquiring a sub-domain as well as the main website. This is still in alpha, meaning that we haven't completed the whole website yet, especially considering this language is still relatively new for us. We've decided to move from PHP over to React/Next.js due to this generally being a better language in our opinion, and it is easier to add more stuff to this new website. A result of this may be that the website will be down for a couple of days. We will try to get the new site up and running as soon as possible, however patience is required for this. What has changed in our VTC this month?

Fully updated website

• After quite some time, we've decided on fully revamping our website, simply because we find it a bit out-of-place and "boring". At the previous newsletter we mentioned that we will be releasing this website due October, and we delivered! If you want to have a look at it, head over to https://titanvtc.com! <3 This is definitely not a "fully complete page", and we are more than happy to receive more takes on how this website could become better

ATS: Paint job

• We have finally decided on creating an American Truck Simulator paint job for all our drivers to use at convoys and events. Note that we do not require players to use this paint job at all times, this only applies for convoys and general events where Titan Express are listed as attending. We've also gained a bit of a player-base playing American Truck Simulator only, and therefore we decided on finally joining more and more convoys there.

• We hit 200 Members! This was definetly unimaginable considering that we once thought that this VTC would only be a regular old company destined to stop. However, with our community pushing us day by day to make this the best VTC there is, we've delivered! Thank you to everyone for joining and being apart of this great community!

What convoys have we created?

We recently decided on creating a cars only event for a change, as we felt like this would put a twist to normal convoys as we see them today. Obviously, this is not something we're going to continuously do, but nonetheless, we hope this will turn out good :hehe:

Information:

• Welcome to Titan Express' seventh Public Convoy! For this event, we've decided to do something a bit interesting

We are a relatively small but friendly and tight-knit community and group of friends. We pride ourselves in always being professional but also ensure that we have fun and enjoy our trips. Titan Express - you can always count on us!

• We'll be beginning at the recently updated city of Erfurt, driving south, ending in the outskirts of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Keep in mind that this is a car-specific event!

We do not want anyone to attend with a truck!

This 987km drive is expected to take between 60 and 75 minutes. Can't wait to see you there!
