It's that time again insert sarcastic yay here

November was a very successful month for Quantum, we increased our job count by 43% from October!!

This is a great achivement and hopefully we can better this in December and get the new best month ever and smash our Quarterly figures through the roof!!

We also hosted the November edition of Quantum convoys, this event had a large turnout of 13 attendees, which is a new record for Quantum convoys!!

We also attended the ConSec monthly convoy and we had a turn out of 13 Quantum members too which was a great achievement as well.

Looking ahead to December, we have our monthly convoy on the 6th December in Romania, more information on our Discord.

Hopefully we can continue this upward trend and #TeamQGG can end 2020 on a high

Thanks for reading this summary,

February Monthly Review

Well... what a month February was for Quantum, we turned 4 years old, we got verified on TruckersMP and we also hosted many convoys!!

Our two convoys were very successful this month, to read more about them, check out our other news post we made a few weeks ago about our events!!

Quantum turned 4 in February and we did lots to celebrate, we hosted the two convoys, we did our first Forza Horizon 4 trackday on the Quantum Main Track and we did our first staff convoy on ProMods.

We also surpassed 70 members in February, which is a tremendous achievement after only getting to 50 at the start of January!!

What is to come in March? Well, we have not just two public convoys and a private convoy, we have another, special convoy happening too!! We have moved the scheduling round in April due to Easter, so our monthly convoy will be pushed back to the Arrive & Drive slot and the Arrive & Drive has been moved to the last week of March, but to make it more special, it isn't actually an Arrive & Drive... it is Quantum's first ever Public ProMods Convoy!! More details to be announced in the coming weeks!!

That is all from me for this month, keep up the good work with jobs, we dropped down slightly from January this month, but we can come back stronger in March

In the Driver’s Seat: Stories and Tips from Our Veteran Drivers

Our veteran drivers know the road like the back of their hand. Their top tip? Plan routes with precision, especially long hauls—keeping track of fuel stops, rest points, and traffic patterns saves time and ensures safety. “Taking breaks regularly makes a world of difference,” says DanTheMan61. Another key to success? Staying connected. Join virtual convoys and share experiences with other drivers, as teamwork builds morale and makes trips enjoyable. Their final word: respect the road, and every mile becomes an opportunity to grow and improve.

Stay Safe on the Road: Essential Tips for Every Driver

One key safety tip: always check your truck before each trip. A quick pre-trip inspection helps catch issues early, reducing breakdowns. Also, slow down on wet or icy roads—taking it easy prevents accidents and keeps you in control. Veteran drivers recommend setting your route before starting to avoid last-minute detours, which can be tricky to handle safely. Finally, take breaks to stay sharp; regular rests reduce fatigue and keep you focused for the drive ahead. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and these small steps make a big difference!

The staff roles that will be opening are:

These will be open to all members of Quantum, and those interested in joining from outside must apply to the company first.

GOOD NEWS, Not the Dacia Sandero, but the Quantum Hub is making progress, our tracker is in a very early stage, but is now working and being testes by a few of our staff members, with the front end of the hub being developed by our glamorous web developer (well, you know what I mean :kappa:), Konrad

We hope to have the hub working as soon as we can, however we do not have a date set for this as we quite often never meet the dates we set as many things could happen, I don't know, someone might have made a car that, I don't know, runs on jelly, we might have declared war with France (That's a James May quote before I get told off :KEKW:)

Anyways we hope to provide some more news about Quantum Hub in the coming weeks!!

Here we are once again, sorry for it being late this month, I have been very busy and haven’t had the time to get round to doing this until now. However, lets get into what happened last month!!

The job count for September was 133 jobs which was down from the previous months, and we were 7 short of beating Q2’s results in Q3, this is still a commendable achievement, however, I still think we can improve for Q4, but with everyone being back to school and work, it will not be easy.

There is no competition this month, however there may be one in the coming months, so stay tuned!!

For convoys we attended in September, we attended Krewlex’s 100th convoy, which was a very good and successful convoy, and I even managed to sneak into the lineup of CRTZ trucks!!

In October we hope to attend more convoys, as requested by drivers, this is something we hope to improve upon.

That is all the news for the month of September, stay tuned to the news page on the TMP VTC area and on Discord for more news!!

It doesn't feel that long since I wrote last months review, but here we are again, with the April Convoy Review!!

Our private convoy was successful again, though this time it was more of a casual drive as we were doing some achievement hunting - which was definitely something different!!

Our public convoy was a small convoy again, traveling through a lot of the Going East DLC, showcasing some roads that not many people drive on - which is a shame really as it's an amazing place to visit!!

Details for our convoys next month will probably be very last minute as per usual as we never know when we can host them until the last minute!!

We didn't host any convoys due to the Christmas holidays and to let our drivers have some time off (unless you're Beano, then that was normal :Kappa:).

We hope to bring back some convoys in early 2022, and we will be releasing information regarding our January event and our 5 year anniversary convoy in due course.

We also finally launched our custom truck and trailer skins for Euro Truck on Christmas Day as a little present to our drivers.

That's another month done and dusted, our private convoy was very successful, and we had a great time throughout

Our public convoy departed from Felixstowe and drove across England and into Wales where we finished at Cardiff's quarry

Details for the November convoy will be published in due course, Beano says he wants to do this event, so don't expect it to be anything spectacular (he won't read this, and if you are reading this, then what are you doing reading this? :PepeSus:)

We kick started 2021 after just getting validated, we then hit 50 members not long after that which was VERY NAIS

In February we hosted our first ever Arrive & Drive Convoy, which was a GREAT SUCCESS and we then proceeded to host more of these over the coming months

February also seen us becoming a Verified VTC on TruckersMP which was also something immense to happen

Then a few days later, it was our 4 Year Anniversary, which also featured the longest single convoy in Quantum history and with our highest ever attendance figures, with over 50 attendees

We then proceeded with our first ProMods Convoy at the end of March and our first ATS convoy at the start of April, which seen 5 straight weeks of convoys!

After this, we hot 100 members in May, then after this not much else happened until December when our custom skins were then available to use

That is a quick summary of what has happened to us in the past year!!

Staying Alert and Avoiding Accidents On the Road

Your safety is our top concern here at Rockford Trucking. We want every driver to make it home safely. Remember to take mandatory rest stops every 8 hours of driving, and take them seriously. Don't drive drowsy. Avoid distractions like cell phones, eating, or focusing on non-driving tasks. Actively scan mirrors every 8-10 seconds; don't just glance. Use your signals and check blind spots before changing lanes or passing. Inspect your equipment daily. Report any issues immediately. Staying alert and avoiding distractions could save your life and others on the road. We appreciate you making safety your number one priority each time you hit the road.

June Convoy Review

Well, well, well, here we are again with another month done and more convoys to review!!

Our private convoy this month followed on after a ConSec convoy this month, where we drove through the Baltic's. We drove from Ventspils to Riga, it was a short journey at just over 200 miles, but it was nice to be back in the Baltics after being away from it for quite a while. We had a decent turn out of drivers, which was great to see as it has been a while!!

Our public convoy was hosted on the 20th June and it departed from Strasbourg, then drove into Germany, Switzerland and then finally into Italy where we finised in Milan. This convoy also had a great turn out, and we cannot wait to share the details for next months convoy, we have some special plans in place, but we just need to finalise them and also check that what we are planning is within the rules

Our convoys are announded in our Discord, so if you want to stay up to date, then why not join the Discord to find out what is happening!!

Here we are... again, with another monthly review - this time for April 2022.

Not much happened in April, due to the holidays and exams but there was still some work going on!!

Our convoys were a success, if you wish to read more about those, check out our news post on that topic!!

As for things behind the scenes, Cody came on board as our new developer, helping to redevelop our Discord bot (which if you've seen our Discord, you'll know it's been broken for ages), and we cannot wait for him to get fully integrated into the team over the coming weeks!!

Hopefully May will still be a good month, even with a lot of you having exams - good luck to all those who are doing exams in May and June!!

European Powerhouses: Comparing Top Truck Brands and Engine Performance

European truck manufacturers lead the global industry with innovative designs and powerful engines. Scania is renowned for exceptional fuel efficiency and legendary reliability, with their V8 engines delivering robust power for heavy hauls.
Volvo trucks offer superior driver comfort with advanced cab ergonomics and smooth-shifting I-Shift transmissions. Their D13 engines balance power with economy effectively.
Mercedes-Benz Actros features cutting-edge safety technology and aerodynamic designs that reduce fuel consumption. DAF trucks excel in lightweight construction, maximizing payload capacity.
MAN trucks provide excellent torque at lower RPMs, ideal for mountainous terrain. Iveco offers competitive pricing with solid performance for various applications.
Each brand has distinct personalities - Scania for power, Volvo for comfort, Mercedes for technology. Understanding these differences helps drivers select the right truck for specific routes and cargo requirements. Choose wisely and drive proud!

Conquering the Rockies and Sierras: Mountain Driving Safety Tips

Mountain driving in Colorado and California demands respect and preparation. Before ascending, check weather conditions and chain requirements - conditions change rapidly at elevation.
Downshift before steep descents, not during. Use lower gears to control speed through engine braking rather than riding your brakes. Overheated brakes can fail catastrophically on long downgrades.
Watch for runaway truck ramps and know their locations. If brakes overheat, use them immediately - they're designed to save your life.
Take hairpin turns wide and slow. Use both lanes when legally permitted on tight switchbacks. Be especially cautious of your trailer swing on sharp corners.
Watch for altitude sickness effects on yourself and reduced engine power at high elevations. Stay hydrated and alert.
Colorado's I-70 and California's I-80 and Grapevine demand full attention. Respect the mountains, drive defensively, and arrive safely every time.

Happy Christmas to all who celebrate, we have made it to the end of the year and we have achieved so much in 2023!

One thing we would like to announce as a gift to you all today is we are opening a dedicated Convoy Mode server for our drivers!

This will start off in an early access state, where you will need to request permission to join, but it will go live to all drivers in 2024!

We aim to start off with one server that we can change between ETS2, ETS2 ProMods and ATS, but the end goal is a dedicated server for each game!

Keeping Dangerous Cargo Safe

Transporting dangerous goods saves lives when done responsibly. Before accepting a hazardous materials load, inspect your truck and equipment thoroughly to identify any risks. Carefully follow all loading guidelines to prevent leakage, spills, or reactions. Verify you have all necessary shipping papers and permits in the cabin. Plot safe, approved routes avoiding hazards like tunnels or residential areas, even if longer. During transit, brake smoothly, avoid abrupt maneuvers, and maintain maximum control. Immediately address any signs of cargo leaking or equipment issues. Through rigid adherence to safety protocols, we minimize risk for ourselves and our virtual communities along each route. Stay alert and think ahead, because lives depend on it.

Braking Safely on Icy Roads

When roads turn icy, allow 3-10 times more stopping distance. If brakes lock up, ease off to regain steering control. When slowing, pump the brakes with steady, rapid pulses rather than slamming them. This prevents wheel lockup allowing you to Still steer. Downshift cautiously to use engine braking before brakes. Take corners extremely slowly, avoiding abrupt acceleration or braking which can cause skidding. If wheels start to slide, look and steer where you want the truck to go. Above all, reduce speed and increase following distance. Patience and planning prevents accidents. We’ll get through winter safely by working together and adapting to conditions.
