The following requirements shall include, but not limited to:

• Must be the age of 16 or older. If under the age of 21, must go though our CDL training program!

• Must have no more than three (3) TMP violations within the last year (365 days from the most recent violation)

• Must have an acceptable driving record and possess a valid driver's license.

• Pass an on-site pre-work screening on qualification day to determine you can safely perform essential job functions.

• Students must be successfully complete an interview process & background checks.

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.

• All applicants must have the ability to read, write, speak the English language, and do simple arithmetic.

How long is orientation?

Orientation begins at 07:30 on Monday morning and concludes by 14:00 on Wednesday. These times may be subject to change depending on the class size of the orientation that week.

During orientation you will be given a road test, pre-hire interview, drug test, and a physical if applicable.

Please have your online paperwork completed including your 3 year work history. You will be learning about company policies, Smith System - save driving techniques, and the Qualcomm.

Who is eligible for the Honor Program? United States military veterans and current members of the reserve or national guard may request participation in the HTI Honor Program. Persons wishing to participate will provide a DD-214 with proof of an honorable discharge characterization.

Is the program open to all MOS's and NEC's? Yes. Prior transportation experience is not required.

Am I required to sign a contract to participate in the Apprenticeship Program? No, you are not required to sign a contract to be in the apprenticeship program.

Is there CDL training available, and what is the cost? Yes there is CDL training available if your participate in our Get Your CDL Program. It is free!

If I drove truck in the military, do I need to get CDL training? If you are under the age of 21, but served as a heavy duty truck driver in the military, then you qualify for our Military Occupational Driver Skills Waiver!

About HTI's Apprenticeship Program

The Apprenticeship Program includes two years of behind the wheel, over the road truck driver training. This is a five-phase program in which you progress through these segments of the program:

1. New driver orientation
2. Behind the wheel training with a driver trainer and solo
3. Online training designed by Hamilton Transco
4. Advanced driver training
5. Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA) training

During the final phase of the Military Apprenticeship Program, you have a unique opportunity. You will assist with the driver orientation as a student driver teacher under supervision. This is part of the Hamilon Transco Trainer Foundations’ Student Teaching program. As a graduate from the Apprenticeship Program, you’ll earn different certifications, including:

• CVTA Basic Instructor Certification
• HTI Driver Trainer Certification
