Editor's Foreword

"Is this the right place to make my obligatory weather-related jab? In all seriousness, our drivers have continued to impress across the last month, and as we wrap up 2023, our focus has immediately turned to appreciating these efforts and closing the year out strong. Keep an eye out for the goodies to come!"

- Tyler - Chief Operating Officer - Lead Recap Editor

Welcome to the October Recap!

With leaves scattered on the ground and pumpkins galore, fall was in full swing over on TruckersMP and here at At The Mile through October! Whether it was the myriad events we attended, the Halloween festivities worldwide, or just a chance to kick back and hit the roads, our drivers continued to impress the VTC landscape with their continued work driving our success right to your warehouses nationwide. This, my friends, is the October Recap!

Driver Statistics

This month's festivities did more than just inspire our drivers to load their trailers and drive off into the sunset - it gave them that encouragement to get things done the ATM way as per usual! Here's a summary glance at some of the amazing work our team has been up to:

  • At time of writing, ATM has 332 drivers employed (increase of 25 drivers, +8.14%).
  • Our drivers logged 3426 deliveries across October (increase of 715 deliveries, +26.37%).
  • Our drivers logged a total of 1,927,371km across October on deliveries (increase of 138,412km, +7.74%).
  • Our drivers earned a total profit of $90,788,252 across October's receipts (decrease of $7,543,950, -7.67%).

Amazing job by our drivers, especially as they managed to clock nearly 3500 deliveries! In fact, this metric denotes a delivery every 13 minutes for a whole month! I think that deserves it's own highlight, but just in case, here's your fun distance metrics:

  • approximately 133 transcontinental trips from Lisbon, Portugal to Vladivostok, Russia;
  • approximately 45,662 marathons, and;
  • a distance representing 9.2 seconds at the speed of fiber optic cables - 210 thousand kilometers per second!

As usual, let's conclude this stats section with our monthly driver competition:

  • in third place, with 72,585km, sky!
  • in second place, with 98,907km, Musi!
  • and in first place, with an astounding 215,878km, heartylaces!

Congratulations to all, especially on a month of great work!

Recognitions

Driver of the Month - heartylaces

It's only been a short while since we've been graced with heartylaces' presence in our Driver core, but they arrived with immediate effect, immediately unseating our long-reigning champion in the monthly distance battle! In fact, across their short time here, they've already clocked 716 thousand kilometers - a number that really makes you double take and appreciate the sheer amount of effort involved! Without heartylaces on our team, especially as an active contributor to our community, ATM would be much worse off - whether it be with distance totals or one less friendly face to see every day!

Staff of the Month - Chris (Just A Truck Guy)

Those who are lucky enough to work with Chris understand the impact of a speedy & readily accurate member of a team! Serving on our HR, Events, and Community teams, Chris has earned praise for steadily assistance on Human Resources affairs, while remaining an active member of conversation with our staff, drivers, and community. In just those 3 months, Chris has posted over 10,000 messages, been a successful applicant to various staff teams, and has made a constant effort to grace the careers of all of our drivers with a welcome face and "open arms" demeanor. We appreciate all you do for our teams, and we can't wait to watch what you do going forward!

Let's see how our staff core has evolved over October!

Human Resources

  • Carter is promoted to Human Resources Manager (Oct. 6).
  • Following a recruitment cycle, Chris, Will, and Issac all join Human Resources (Oct. 14).

Events

  • Chris joins the Events Team (Oct. 9).
  • Musi joins the Events Team (Oct. 20).
  • Cronbo is promoted to Events Manager (Oct. 23).

Community

  • No changes.

Media

  • Wesjet joins the External Media Team (Oct. 3).

Also, a special shoutout to ATM Staff Alumnus and former Human Resources Manager, mth, on being promoted to the position of TruckersMP Community Manager! We wish you all the best on your journey!

Divisions Update

With this fantastic update so far in mind, here's our monthly division shakedown:

  1. Hazmat - 331 approved loads spanning 262,497km and netting $10,603,593 in revenue.
  2. Chilled - 168 approved loads spanning 140,867km and netting $6,065,596 in revenue.
  3. Agricultural - 149 approved loads spanning 97,003km and netting $3,238,947 in revenue.
  4. Construction - 131 approved loads spanning 114,995km and netting $2,695,295 in revenue.

A massive thank-you to the many divisional drivers we have who keep our special operations running consistently!

Onward, Upward, and into 2024!

So many numbers! Let this section serve as a break from the statistical nonsense I put you through on a monthly basis, as we recap some reminders and news going forward.

Firstly, remember that we will not be mandating event attendance through December to account for the Christmas break. You may continue to use our event advertisement channel to showcase your upcoming events, and who knows - you may see a friendly ATM driver or two!

This is also a reminder that we will not be publishing a typical recap for December, and that you should instead direct your attention towards the rapidly approaching ATM Wrapped 2023...

Finally, primarily to our drivers: we have rolled out Frontend V3 of our Drivers' Hub, thanks to the wonderful CharlesWithC, Lead Developer @ CHub. If you have any issues, complaints, or bugs, please report them to us via the appropriate channels or visit the CHub support server.

Off to my hidey-hole I go! See you soon - hopefully snow will be on the ground and Christmas music blaring at all hours of the night when I come back! Remember to stay safe, stay warm, and stay awesome!
