Meet our Leadership Team!

Besides all the amazing staff that help us keep each department running here at At The Mile, our Leadership team is ultimately charged with the creative vision and direction of our VTC. From hiring our outstanding managers, coordinating improvements to our staff systems, and bringing plenty of exciting innovations to the VTC world at large, the Leadership team is a dedicated group of volunteers who we are grateful to have around.

Shadows - Founder

Well like many of you already know me, I go by Shadows - the reason behind this name is due to one of my favorite singers being Matthew Sanders aka M. Shadows. He is the singer of the band known as Avenged Sevenfold, he has one of the best voices I have heard. Anyhow, I go by Manny in real life and I am the Founder of At The Mile Logistics.

I am 36 years old (yes, I am old) and I live in Texas in a border town called Laredo. Ever since I was a kid, I loved video games since the Super Nintendo days all the way until Xbox Series X. I enjoy RPG and Simulation games; my favorite 2 games of all time are Zelda and Mass Effect (which I can replay so many times).

I started playing ATS in 2020, I know, a little late, but I never had a compatible PC to play the game until I finally purchased a Dell XPS 17-inch i7 8G Ram. Once I heard about a online community known as TruckersMP, I joined a VTC, I learned so much I got the motivation and inspiration to try and start a community which then led me to actually build a VTC. Therefore, I began to work on what became known as At The Mile Logistics. Why did I pick the name “At The Mile”? Well, it is actually my last name pronounced in English since my last name is a Spanish name.

The Founder is responsible for high-level advisory duties, including ensuring the VTC follows all creative direction as originally set out during the early days of the VTC. Working with the Leadership team, the Founder coordinates with the Operations Lead to keep all new innovations, team members, and departments in line with the policies and procedures of the VTC at large.

Tyler - Operations Lead

Hey there! My name is Tyler, and I am the current Operations Lead of At The Mile Logistics. I'm 21 years old, from Niagara Falls, Ontario, and I'm currently finishing up my Honours Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering & Artificial Intelligence with plans to pursue a PhD and become a professor.

I've been involved with At The Mile since July of 2022, when I first joined as a Bot Developer. After years of going through nearly every department and role ATM offers, I finally received an offer to step into the CEO (now Operations Lead) role earlier this year and have remained here ever since.

I'm also a member of TruckersMP Staff, currently serving as a Community Moderator Leader, and I've loved what this platform has done for me in so little time (going on 4 years this fall!)

A little fun fact about me: I'm a published author! I have one conference paper under my belt as first author, with more hopefully coming soon, and I love what research has brought to me in the form of a rewarding career. If you ever see me around, don't hesitate to say hi!

The Operations Lead manages all VTC affairs, including both internal and external affairs, PR campaigns, and inquiries about the VTC's staff team. Together with the Founder, the Operations Lead manages the Leadership & Management teams, enforcing quality standards.

Issac - Human Resources Lead

Hello! My name is Issac and I am the Human Resources Lead for At The Mile! I started as a Driver and became a staff as a Division Supervisor with Hazmat Division! Later on I also transferred to Chilled, and joined the Human Resources Team with eventually becoming HRM and now Leadership!

At The Mile is my second family (besides my parents) and I feel loved here, everyday opening the discord server and see all kinds of positive caring conversations, and I always feel supported when I’m experiencing difficulties in real life! My favorite memories are joining the events, seeing that our entire participant team driving carefully and to complete a convoy is so rewarding!

Outside of the game I work at the airport as a check in agent, and at the same time I am also a transit hobbyist and aviation geek! My DM will always be open if you want to talk, and see you At The Mile!

The Human Resources Lead manages the quality and work product of the Human Resources department, and ensures all hiring and onboarding standards are met. Additionally, the Human Resources Lead is a resource for the team to use during disputes and other departmental affairs.

Alpha - Divisions Lead

Greetings, it’s Alpha here!

My At The Mile journey has been nothing short of amazing, it all started in March of 2023 where I joined ATM as my first VTC. I joined the Community Moderation team in late April of 23. 2 months later I joined our awesome Human Resources team. Mid January of 24 I joined the Media Team as Development Staff to help Jack with division skins and other ATM mods. Half a month later, I stepped up to the management team as a Human Resources Manager. Late March, I moved fully to the Leadership Team as Chief Human Resources Officer. Couple of months later I transferred to Chief Administrative Officer. In August I moved to Divisions Lead as well as the Acting Community Lead.

Fun fact: I am the longest serving Agricultural Division driver in the VTC, I am proud to be Agri since it opened in April 2023.

Outside of ATM, I am a transport enthusiast and enjoy working on media and engineering projects. I currently am working at a local newsagent where I help run our ‘Back to School’ season during summer break (yes that’s winter for the rest of the world as I am from Australia), but anyway I’m happy to talk with all of you and my DM’s are open. (Long right?) I will see you all, At The Mile!

The Divisions Lead manages the quality and work product of the Divisions department, and ensures all managers and supervisors appropriately attend to divisional affairs.

Jack - Content Lead

Hey! I’m Jack, a student and the Content Lead at At The Mile. I started out as a community moderator back when ATM was just a server, then became a driver in August 2022, and I've been here ever since. As I got more involved, I was invited to join both the HR Department and the Media Team, and I happily accepted. From there, I moved up to the Human Resource Management Team, and now up to the Content Lead.

I handle most of our singleplayer mods for ATS and ETS2, create Event Maps, and recently finished up our 3rd-anniversary video. I've participated in my share of events hosted and attended by ATM, and they’re definitely a highlight of the experience. Outside of ATM, I spend a lot of time flying in MSFS on VatSim, and I’m working on getting my Private Pilot’s License. I'm a huge aviation fan if you couldn't tell. Besides aviation, I’m also into fly fishing, biking, and when winter comes around in Colorado, I spend a ton of time skiing.

It’s an absolute pleasure being part of this community and VTC - it wouldn’t be the same without all of you. If you see me around, feel free to say hi, I’m always up for a chat!

The Content Lead manages the quality and work product of the Media department, and ensures all branding materials - both internally and externally - are kept up to date for drivers to access.
