In celebration of ATM's upcoming fourth anniversary, the Marketing team sat down with various team leads to discuss their teams and the work they do for ATM. These are published as part of a larger series leading up to our fourth anniversary.

Kicking off the team highlights from the top, we'll start by giving you a glimpse into the Leadership Team - the team helping to coordinate the day-to-day operations of ATM's team, brand, drivers, and public presence!

What is your name and role at ATM?

My name is Tyler, and I'm currently the Operations and co-Tech Lead here at At The Mile!

In a few short sentences, describe your team's day-to-day tasks.

As far as day-to-day operations go, the Leadership team is traditionally a bit hands-off; we work with team managers to address any issues or concerns, and work with our entire team at large to ensure their concerns are heard. At a higher level, we're formed of individual Leads who work to take on several types of projects - development for the Tech Leads, branding for the Content Lead, any team innovations for the Operations Lead, et cetera. In all, we're really focused on the high-level branding and image of the VTC, otherwise trusting the autonomy of our team for smaller tasks!

Since last May, what are you most proud of your team for doing?

In my time as the Operations Lead - previously named the Chief Executive Officer role - I've been happy to see a wave of two-way communication with our team members. It's really enlightening to hear out opinions from others and create some very cool innovations as a result. Our switch to an in-house Tickets system, for instance, gave our team the chance to provide some very valuable input on how they want their workflows to be designed, which I believe overall has resulted in a happier team at large. Couple that with our push for TruckersFM advertisements, and we've seen an uptick in people excited to learn about our VTC and join our happy family. In any case, it's great to hear their opinions every day, which really helps with creating those bonds between teams!

What's your favorite part about the team you work with?

The unique skills everyone brings to the table - you really get to witness a match of minds between all of us every day, and that creates some super critical discussion that can be great for forming new ideas. Everyone on the team has a super unique skillset!

Do you have any exciting plans you wish to share with the public?

Nothing that's necessarily at an actionable stage yet, but all I'd suggest is keeping an eye on our VTC! We're hoping to keep bringing the new projects, events, and branding material that makes us who we are.

What would you say to someone who was considering joining At The Mile?

Whether we're your first VTC, your last VTC, or somewhere in the middle, we want the time you spend with us to teach you something new about the community you live in every day. I strongly feel that ATM is great for that exposure, and without ATM, I wouldn't be close to the person I am today! If you're on the fence, give it a shot - it can't hurt to try something new!
