Today we would like to tell you a little more about our development team. Without them, it would have been impossible to create our own platform, Trucksweb, with all its great features.

When we started Global Cargo in 2020, we immediately began looking for people who could help us build our own logging system: Trucksweb. We found two website developers from outside the VTC community who were willing to take on the website development. In addition, several members from within the VTC joined: someone to manage our VPS server, someone for Discord bot development, and a job tracker developer. All of these people dedicated their time voluntarily to support our VTC.

Now, five years later, we are proud that almost the entire team is still with us. One of the website developers left after a few months, and our job tracker developer stepped down about a year ago. The rest of the team has remained, and we are extremely grateful for their dedication and the many hours they have invested in Global Cargo.

Together we are still working hard to add new features to the VTC. Here are some of the milestones we have reached over the past five years:

After 2 months: the first version of Trucksweb went live, allowing members to register jobs (available in both English and Dutch).

After 4 months: we launched our first automatic job tracker for ETS2 and ATS, supporting more than 20 mod maps. From that moment, events were also included in Trucksweb.

On our 1st anniversary: the most requested feature of the time was released – 8 new cargo divisions, giving members an extra challenge alongside the ranking system.

Over the years: Trucksweb continued to grow into a complete system that handles almost everything for the VTC. New features and improvements were constantly being added.

On our 4th anniversary: we introduced a unique feature – the combination of Farming Simulator servers with ETS2/ATS. Farmers could sell crops to Global Cargo but only received money once the crops were delivered in ETS2/ATS.

On our 5th anniversary (August): our developers released another big update, expanding the division checklist, improving the event calendar, and partially automating money transfers from Trucksweb to our Farming Simulator servers.

All in all, we are very proud of our current development team of four, who continue to dedicate their time and skills to create new features. Suggestions from our members for future improvements are always highly appreciated.
