We did it again, for the second time this year we have circled the whole ProMods map, including the UK, Iceland and the Middle East.

On New Year's Eve was the first time, that time we circled the ATS and ETS2 mainland Promods map and then not even a month later we did another fantastic 24 hour convoy.

This time we set off again at noon on March the 7th for a full outline of the map, including the UK, Iceland and the Middle East and we had a blast with all the people running with us.

Rorxy,oystein77, CannonBall ,bdog1144 ,Joemul2019 ,DanBo_USA, Sadoku, tony j, Popeye2214, dutchman_17, LadyBear, mdt245, Cast_A_Way, Blah1945, j0oohaaaan and Armygamer90 are just a few names of the people that logged Kilometers, also there were many other VTC's stopped by and joined us for a few runs.

During that time: We outlined the whole map in: 23hr2min And logged a total distance : 123.392km

On February 8th TruckersMP posted the third article on Road To Simulation. Many changes have come into play since the first announcement. The biggest changes you will see is focused on the rules of the game, how players will be punished for their in game multiplayer offenses, and what is not acceptable regarding save editing.

Road To Simulation is all about a truck driving simulation experience as close to truck driving as we can get. This includes eliminating the trolls that think it is fun to cause collisions and havoc on the roadways. There will be stricter punishments and less chances towards a permanent ban.

Heads up

TruckersMP gave 7 days time for players to adapt to the new save editing rules. And, if you currently have 5 bans, you will not be banned immediately under the new rule. Be aware that if you are banned again, it will be permanent so long as the active history supports it. Also, keep in mind if you receive a secondary history ban at any time, it will be extended to permanent (example (2) 1 month bans in your history).

If you play for any length of time you know that ATS/ETS2 requires so many inputs and very fine control that it seems a wheel and pedal setup is really the only option for those looking to really play the game the way it was meant to be played.

I had a w&p setup for the longest time and it was fantastic. Don't get me wrong, it's probably, hands-down one of the best ways to drive. But my problem was the setup and teardown each day since I work from home. I couldn't have a huge w&p setup in front of my camera when I was on a web conference. I decided to move back to a controller. Specifically, I moved to my PS4 Dualshock controller and retired my W&P. Here's how I did it:

1. PS4 contollers can be paired to any bluetooth enabled PC. If your pc doesn't have bluetooth, you can purchase an inexpensive adapter for as little as $10.00 CAD. Press the SHARE button and PS4 button simulatanously when your controller is Powered OFF and when it starts blinking, pair it to your windows PC.
2. Use Stick Extenders. Stick extenders attach to your control sticks and enlarge the arc of travel so that larger movements translate to smaller steering corrections. These are pretty cheap too. I think I got mine on Amazon for about $10.00 for 3 sets of 2.
3. Get a back button paddle attachment. These attach to your controller to remap controls such as the L1 and R1 placing two paddles positioned beneath the controller so you can shift without removing your thumbs from the control sticks. Options for the DS4 currently are the USB cabled version FPS Strickpack Dominator $49.99 and Playstation has an official one that is wireless for $29.99
4. Use remapper software such as ReWASD to essentially remap any button you like on your controller. I have my paddle buttons from my PS4 back button attachedment set to shift so if I click the left paddle I get another set of controls. Clicking the right paddle gives me a whole different set. With theses mapped to shift buttons, I have access to well over 50 possible button mappings with a single controller.

When I play ATS now, the only reason I have to remove my hand from the controller is to move the mouse and click something in the map. Otherwise, I can lean back, relax, and enjoy the same precision and control as a W&P without all the activity required to operated a W&P.

The past months we have been working hard, had alot of fun and of course we did alot of miles, 4 538 825miles in fact. Our goal is to grow as a group and sometimes we get a little crazy and start pushing huge mileage by having our fun 24hour convoys, in that 24hours period over 40 drivers participated.

The result of that is that we earned another gold trophy on trucksbook.

Once in a while one of our members come up with a crazy idea, this time it was a 24 hour convoy. Joemul2019 and Jabrock have been playing with the idea for a while now and finally set a date, February 21st, at 11 AM they would set off into the distance on promods, not long after that more and more people started hopping in and out during the multiple runs over the 24 hour period. All sorts of loads, from light helicopters to locomotives.

In total 108.243 Kilometers got logged during that time, and only a few runs got race miles, that happened mostly at the end of the 24 hr (don't worry Rorxy, no names shall be mentioned). We are extremely proud about all the people that took place during this fan event, all the streamers that broadcasted this and ofc the stamina of some of the drivers that tagged along for almost the complete duration, and especially Joemul2019 and Jabrock for setting this up and driving the full 24 hours.

Tools Available

There are tools available to always keep you informed if there is traffic in your direct area.

First, you can use https://ets2map.com/ to track yourself as you travel across the map and this will allow you to know who is around you at all times.

Second, there is a tab menu that tells you how many meters away all the closest trucks are to you.

And lastly your GPS (F5) has colored dots that indicate that other trucks are around you.

With all these tools you have the opportunity to know your surroundings.

Month after month, LadyBear Truckers find ways to put in miles. We challenge each other and ourselves through various means. Some do the A to Z challenge, Coast to Coast and online (Simulation & Arcade). Where we put in our time and how much, varies from day to day, but the commitment to make LadyBear Trucking the best VTC remains constant.

Drivers who do 100,000 non-speeding miles/kilometers in a month are bestowed with the title of Grizzly. Not everyone can do 100k in a month, so every mile counts and we greatly appreciate all our drivers. For the month of November the following drivers completed the 100k requirement:

Virtual Truck Log aka. VTLOG, is an easy to use, online VTC manager that has automatic trip logging. 1. We are almost always on the US server when on ATS.

2. Have fuel, repairs, and your load ready prior to start.

3. You MUST turn off Detours, Random Road Events, and Traffic Violations in game settings for Multiplayer (TMP).

4. If you are not ready with load at designated time then it is advised that you travel to next garage on the route and be ready to catch up with us as we travel through.

5. If not posted we will meet at a safe spot on the side of the road just past the last exit headed out of the departure city.

How to get loads to same destination: You can dispatch specified loads using #speditor or request #dispatch from trucksbook prior to the day of convoy. Without these tools your choices are limited and you may be occasionally separated from the convoy.

Some time ago we implemented a milestone system for our drivers as a recognition and a thank you for all the many miles/km they put in.

The milestone badges are awarded in The Bears Den. After placing a request in the #tag request channel we will change your discord name to the color of your achieved milestone.

There are many different VTC's out there. Some have mileage policies, others have an age restriction. When you come to LadyBear you will find a relaxed atmosphere where we have a wide range of individuals involved in our group. We like to have a good time on our discord, as well as when we stream. I think it’s important when you look for a VTC that you find people that you can relate to and have conversations with. It’s about the fellowship at LadyBear. There is always someone willing to help!

Some people would be a little intimated by joining a VTC with a lot of members. Here at LadyBear, we don’t have mileage restrictions, you can come over and run your tail off or you can be a little more relaxed. We utilize Trucksbook as well at VTLOGs.

These programs keep track of the mileage and stats for the company. LadyBear has prided itself on being competitive with other VTC’s in the community while also providing a laid back atmosphere.

It’s all in a day's work to include good fun and laughs. That is what makes LadyBear stand out from the rest. It’s filled with choices that make you an important part of the team.

We have members that play more than just ATS and or ETS. LadyBear has a server for Farming Simulator 19. Some Fly, some play World of Warships, and the list goes on. There is always someone that is around that you can team up and get into some fun with.

We do primarily focus on ATS and ETS2. We host multiple convoys every week to encourage others to get on to have fun with each other. There is nothing more fun than running down the road having laughs and good company. There is always something to fulfill your entertainment needs at LadyBear Trucking and The Bear's Den Discord.

I think the most important thing that made me join LadyBear was that we have an open-door policy, come in check us out hang out get to know people with no pressure to join. We encourage people to have a good time. If you choose to play games and meet new people as your relaxation and entertainment LadyBear Trucking is the place for you!
