As you probably know, this month, on August 11th, we organized a charity convoy to help the Little People association with some money to take care of the childrens. As a short summary, Little People is an association who help childrens and teenagers with cancer, to get rid of cancer and start a normal life, like how many of us do.
We've worked so hard for this event, starting from the idea of helping them with money until sending them. There was a whole process of creating this event, firstly contacting the Little People association to know what we want to do, to get the approval from them, then contacting the event managers to know what we want to do, finding a website who support to send and receive money from/to Romanian bank accounts. We've found the Go Get Funding website who can do this. In principle, we wanted to do it in such a way as to send the money directly to their bank account, in the first phase this was how the website was set, but when withdrawing the funds from the website, we encountered the problem of verifying the owner of the respective bank account. Unable to fulfill this aspect, we modified these data with those of a member of the VTC, which can be verified. In the end, we managed to verify the bank account through the necessary documents, but we could withdraw the money from the website a week after the last donation. After that week, I managed to withdraw the money and finally sent it to Little People.
The donations were not up to our expectations, this being our first charity action, we had expectations of over 1200 euros, but in reality we could only collect 75 euros. After we raised funds of 75 euros, we did not expect that the website would have such high transfer fees, so that later we could receive only 68.32 euros. Below you will find attached images of the money collected on the site and of the transaction to Little People.

After the whole process with the money raising, we've put our event manager, who is talented in designing and managing the slots to create all things for the event to be well, starting from planning the routes, designing them and to the end, creating slots and giving them to the invited VTCs. After that hard work, we've found the convoy control team, who made the best supervising on our event, one of our best supervised events we've made until now. The convoy control team was Drive Along, after a long break, they have made a great come back in the supervising niche. After all this special event that we created this month, we were left with beautiful memories, we gained much more experience in the field and we met very nice people, whom we never thought we would ever meet .
We thank you very much, those who contributed to this event, that it went much better than our expectations, as well as those who contributed to it simply by being present and even adding money to the piggy bank of children with health problems.
