A status update is a post on your (or someone's) forum profile, which is not visible on the main page.

If you can't make status updates on your profile, here's how to enable this feature:

Step 1. Go to your forum profile

Step 2. Press "Edit Profile"

Step 3. Enable status updates

3.1 If you want to disable status updates, simply unmark the "Enable status updates?" checkbox.

And that's it!

You have now enabled or disabled the status updates feature for your profile. Please remember that this is a global setting, which means both you and others users either can or cannot post status updates on your profile, depending on what setting you chose.

A: The status updates system should be used for any off-topic comments, pictures, or anything similar you wish to share with the community. Example:

Q: Can I post as many status updates as I want?

A:: There is no limit on how many status updates you are allowed to send, however sending multiple updates in a very short period is still considered as spam under §1.3 - Spamming or Abuse, and Community Moderators may take actions if necessary. Therefore, we highly encourage you to combine your status updates when possible. For example, if you have 8 pictures from a convoy, you should post them together in 1 status update instead of 8 different ones.

Q: I can't post a status update on my friends profile, why?

A: If you can't create a status update on someone's profile, this most likely means they have this feature disabled as seen in step 3.1 above.

Q: I saw an inappropriate status update, what should I do?

A: If you saw a user breaking our official TruckersMP rules using the status updates system, you should report this to our Community Moderation Team, using the Forum Report System.
