In this article, we will be explaining how you can get the Scout car and TruckersMP exclusive content in singleplayer.
Adding the map edit(s) to singleplayer is useful for those that are creating saves for events and convoys. If these saves are made without the map edit(s) active on your profile in singleplayer, the saves will not work on TruckersMP.
As of February 2023, a new launcher was made available to players. With this, the installation path is different to those using the previous launcher. Please be aware of the different install locations depending on which launcher you use. The following methods and locations relate to the new/current launcher.
The necessary files are located in the “AppData” folder, which is a hidden folder. You will also need to enable the file extensions. To be able to view this folder and the file extensions you will have to do the following:
Now you should be able to see the hidden folders and the file extensions.
If you are transitioning from the previous launcher to the current one, and do not see the “data” folder, simply copy it from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP
and paste it into C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation
If you want to add the Scout car to your singleplayer game, you will have to get these file(s):
skoda_car.mp
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ats\mods
or C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ets2\mods
sh_skoda_car.mp
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods
If you want to add the TruckersMP accessory pack to your singleplayer game, you will need to get the following file(s):
accessory_pack
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ats\mods
or C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ets2\mods
sh_accessory_pack
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods
If you want to add the TruckersMP exclusive map edit(s) to your singleplayer game to drive around or create saves that you will use on our servers, you will need to get the following file(s):
hq_final
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ets2\mods
cd_changes
from C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TruckersMP\installation\data\ets2\mods
There are a couple of methods to get these mods in the correct location for use in singleplayer. We will explain two of these methods below, they will achieve the same result but “Method 2” is slightly more complex.
With this method, we will manually copy and paste the file(s) into your “mod” folder for singleplayer. The downside of this method is that if the files have been updated, you will have to do these steps again to make sure you have the latest available versions.
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod
or Euro Truck Simulator 2 C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod
..mp
from the filename.scs
to the end of the filenameAfter you have done this you are all set and ready to go. For the order of the files please continue reading below “Method 2”.
This method is a bit more complicated than the previous one. This will create a symbolic link in Windows, which allows the game to find the file(s) from TruckersMP and use them in singleplayer. However, you will not need to repeat these steps if the file(s) get updated at a certain point. Unless the filenames are changed or you want the additional file(s).
For this method you must have administrator permissions on your computer.
Now we can start with the necessary steps:
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\sh_skoda_car.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods\sh_skoda_car.mp
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"American Truck Simulator"\mod\sh_skoda_car.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods\sh_skoda_car.mp
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\skoda_car.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\ets2\mods\skoda_car.mp
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"American Truck Simulator"\mod\skoda_car.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\ats\mods\skoda_car.mp
pause
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\hq_final.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods\hq_final.mp
mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\cd_changes.scs %APPDATA%\TruckersMP\installation\data\shared\mods\cd_changes.mp
pause
.txt
to .bat
.Now you can start the game and check the “Mod Manager”. If everything worked correctly, you should now see all the files that you added. Enable those mods and you will be able to use them in singleplayer.
Make sure that you put the mods in the following order, otherwise, it will not work correctly.

Because files are updated periodically to fix issues and add additional content, we will keep the list below updated whenever we complete file changes. This way you can check if you need to redo some steps to make sure that your files are up to date. Especially if you are using this to create saves, check back on this article regularly to make sure everything is still up-to-date.
