How to reinstall TruckersMP

In this guide we will show you how to reinstall the TruckersMP Launcher from scratch.


Uninstalling the launcher

  1. Open your AppData > Roaming folder. You can press Windows + R to open Run, type %appdata% then press Enter.

  1. Once you’ve opened that folder, find the TruckersMP folder and delete it.
  2. Now, click on AppData in the top breadcrumb bar:

  1. Go in the Local folder and delete the TruckersMP folder there too.
  2. Now, open your Documents folder, and delete both ETS2MP and ATSMP folders.
  3. Once you have done that, open your Windows Control Panel and head over to Programs and features. Once you are in there, delete the TruckersMP Launcher.

I cannot find the TruckersMP folder in AppData

If you cannot find the TruckersMP folder in AppData, it could be because you are still using the old version of the TruckersMP launcher. In this case, follow these steps instead:

  1. Open your ProgramData folder. You can press Windows + R to open Run, type %programdata% then press Enter.
  2. Once you’ve opened that folder, find the TruckersMP folder and delete it.
  3. Now, open your Documents folder, and delete both ETS2MP and ATSMP folders.
  4. Once you have done that, open your Windows Control Panel and head over to Programs and features. Once you are in there, delete the TruckersMP Launcher.

Reinstalling the launcher

  1. After that, head over to our download page and download the launcher by clicking Download Now.
  2. Once the launcher is downloaded, run it as Administrator and follow the instructions. Make sure you enter the correct ETS2 / ATS path(s)!

Finding the correct path(s)

If you aren't sure what the correct ETS2 / ATS path(s) on your computer are, then follow these steps to find them:

  1. Open your Steam Launcher and head over to your Library.
  2. Right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator, and click Properties…
  3. After that, head over to Installed Files and click on Browse…

Local Files

After that, your correct Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator path will open. path
