This is a step-by-step guide on how to install a previous version of ProMods correctly for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, if you do not want the most recent and compatible version.

Installing an older version of ProMods is sometimes necessary in order to play on our servers, especially after a larger game update that takes longer for us to implement.

Step 1

Head over to https://www.promods.net and create an account, or log in to your account if you already own one.

Step 2

On the top left corner, click on the button “Compatibility ETS2” / “Compatibility ATS” or open one of the following pages:

• For Euro Truck Simulator 2: https://www.promods.net/compat.php?game=ets
• For American Truck Simulator: https://www.promods.net/compat.php?game=ats

On the new page, you will find a table which includes all of the older versions of ProMods. The newest version is displayed at the top of the table, and below you will find the older ones.

Step 3

Choose the version you want to use and on the right side of the table, you can open the respective download links. You have two options available: The paid (fast) option will allow you to download the full mod in one archive and at a higher speed than the free option. If you choose the free option, the download will take longer and you have to download all of the files one by one.

Make sure to extract the downloaded files. You can find more information about extracting files here .

Step 4

Once you have all ProMods files on your system, head over to the mod folder in your Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator directory, and move all files into this directory. The game data folder is usually in Documents unless you specified otherwise.

Please note that you should not put the files into the TruckersMP mod folder. You have to use the mod folder of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator directory.

Also make sure to not change the name of any ProMods files, otherwise, they will not be recognized by the TruckersMP Launcher.

Keep in mind that TruckersMP has an internal manager of modifications and therefore, you will not see ProMods in the Mod Manager in-game whilst playing TruckersMP.

Step 5

Run the TruckersMP launcher, select the option to launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and join a server with the ProMods icon. Please note that it might take some time to get past the loading screen at first. The game will show you a “Missing Modification detected” warning, you must click on “Load Anyway” and ProMods will be loaded properly.

Please remember that the redistribution of ProMods files is not allowed! This is software piracy and a criminal offense. Furthermore, it is against our TruckersMP rules.
