Tết is not just the beginning of a new year according to the lunar calendar. It is a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and wishing for peace, happiness, and success in the year ahead.
Some special traditions of Vietnamese Tết:
Lucky Money (Li Xi): Adults give red envelopes to children and loved ones as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
Bánh Chưng & Bánh Tét: Traditional rice cakes that represent gratitude and Vietnamese culture.
Peach blossoms & Apricot blossoms: Symbols of spring and new beginnings.
Cleaning and decorating homes: Families prepare their houses to welcome good fortune for the new year.
During Tết, people who study or work far away always try to return home. It is one of the most important times for family gatherings in Vietnam.
Even though we come from different countries in the TruckersMP community, we all share the same spirit of connection and friendship. On this special occasion, I would like to send my best wishes to everyone:
Safe journeys on every road
Smooth deliveries and no lag
A successful and joyful year ahead
