A Very Sad Announcement It’s with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news that our dear friend Paul (@Legacy Member | Rusty B) has sadly passed away.

Paul had unknowingly suffered a heart attack in recent days. He experienced flu-like symptoms and leg pain, and after visiting the doctor yesterday, was sent home with tablets. Tragically, the heart attack was missed, and an ambulance should have been called.

Late last night, Paul collapsed and was rushed to hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to a specialist hospital 7 miles away. He had a major blockage in his heart, along with serious complications affecting his kidneys and lungs. Even if he had survived, he would have faced the loss of both legs—a life unbearable for anyone.

While in hospital, Paul made two final requests: That he be cremated., That his ashes be spread on Blackpool’s Central Pier., He also suggested we hold a convoy in his honour. I told him that goes without saying—we will absolutely make it happen.

Support for Paul (Rusty) We’re running a collection to help cover a few final touches for Paul’s funeral — including clothes, a floral arrangement for the coffin (similar to the one pictured), and a framed photo to place at the back of the hearse.

Paul lived with very little, and his family are struggling to meet the £2800 cost of the funeral. While they’re doing everything they can, we’d love to step in and help with these small but meaningful details. Paul was a dear friend to many in this community.
