Hello Ghost Express Members and Guests,

As the year comes to an end, we would like to re-cap on the year to experience the year one last time before heading forward into 2024. We hope those who experienced the year with us enjoy this recap, and those who joined throughout the year to see the company in what it was.

January

January was a slower month for the company, as it was still known as Freightway at the time with a different Chief Executive Officer. We had many team changes throughout the month, but no major changes.

February

February was a filled eventful month, starting off with an Ownership change. As Chev had stepped down from Chief Executive Officer on February 6th, he had given me the title of Chief Executive Officer of Freightway on February 7th, while also promoting Void to Chief Operations Officer. With all that happening came a very quick downfall for the company, due to internal issues among the Ownership. Within a couple weeks, some changes started appearing. We had removed all of our Devs due to no longer needing them in the scenario of Freightway falling.

March & April

March and April was a slower than usual months, with not many promotions or communication among the community.

May

On May 3rd, we had promoted an official Managing Director. Placing Nick in the Managing Director position for staying loyal, reliable, and helpful throughout the community in its darkest times. We had appreciated his efforts in the community and always being by our side. In the month of May, is when everything started back up again after a 2 month death period as I would love to refer it to. While, a lot changed in this month besides the promotion of our Managing Director.

On May 24th, 2023, Freightway was officially rebranded from Freightway, to Ghost Express. Ghost Express was an old name of my company all the way back into 2020, you can read more in the "Who We Were, and Who We Are" news post.

June

As June came around, the activity in the community was near endless, with everyone chatting and having a wonderful time. No major changes within this month span.

July

In July, our Managing Director, Nick, had chosen to step down and retire from the VTC. Alot of promotions and demotions had happened afterwords, leaving the month full of changes for our company. In this month, we had also merged Admissions and Human Resources responsibilities together, to make one solid role full of responsibilities, instead of a couple of itty bitty roles with minor responsibilities.

August

August was once more a slower month for the company, still keeping a pace of activity.

September

September was a more-so painful month for all the older members in Ghost Express. We sadly had to say Goodbye to an old friend, who had been around since the start. FourP retired on September 26th, 2023. His history within our company stands unique to most, as he was our First Admissions member, helping upper staff in the start with Driver Applications dedicatedly, while doing all he could to help. Going from Admissions, to Admissions Manager, eventually being merged into Human Resources Manager, to being promoted to Chief Administrative Officer, FourP achieved alot in his time here in Ghost Express, and will always be remembered for their work and dedication.

October

Was another slow, but festive month for us here in Ghost Express, as we hosted our first official event within our Discord, known as the "Plague of '23". Participants of this event received "SCP-23" role within the server.

November

Yet another painful month for us here in Ghost Express, having to express our Goodbyes to another member. Vlossom, who had also been with us since the beginning, retired November 15th, 2023. Being Media Manager for Ghost Express for over a year dedicatedly. We appreciate all the work, dedication, and love they had put into our Media team. We wish him luck with his Military Service, and hope to see him return back safely.

December

December was a slow month, but such is given with the holidays of Christmas and the New Years. But we have had fun within our community nonetheless.

As the year comes to the end, I, Ghøst, wish to say thank you to everyone who stood by me in this emotionally draining year. I understand as the Chief Executive Officer of Ghost Express, I was not the most active, or the best to be around when I got Ownership. I done my best to change who I was from the Chief Operations Officer of Freightway in January, to the Chief Executive Officer of Ghost Express in May. I stated on February 8th, 2023, when I received Ownership of Freightway, "We do not know the future of this company, as it is still a mystery to us Officers", was not very ideal of me, as it lead to slowness and almost no progress as a company.

In the beginning of 2024, I will be releasing a "Plans for 2024" news post for us here in Ghost Express, and everything stated in the said News Posts, will be guaranteed by the end of the year, not just for us in the upper staff, but for those who are our Drivers.

Again, thank you to everyone who stuck by us, and who joined us in this rough year. Remember, someone loves you.
