Good day, dear truck lovers!

In a new article series, we will touch upon the characteristics of cargo transportation in different parts of the world.

Consisting of countries such as Norway, Sweden and Denmark, Scandinavia is known for its unique nature, beautiful landscapes and infrastructure.

Trucking in Scandinavia has its own contemporary characteristics that make this region attractive for many companies and entrepreneurs.

One of the characteristics of cargo transportation in Scandinavia is that this region is large.

Roads are represented by numerous hills, which can create some difficulties for trucks, but modern vehicles and technology make it possible to cope with this difficulty.

Based on the above, the next feature is the need for increased engine power in the truck.

The required minimum is 500 hp.

Additionally, many cargo carriers "tune" their fleets with software engine tuning (chip tuning) that adds additional power.

In this regard, the most common car on Scandinavian roads is definitely a Scania.

It is noteworthy that one of the most popular trucks in our favorite game on Scandinavian roads, Euro Truck Simulator 2, is Scania.

Another feature of cargo transportation in Scandinavia is the climate.

In winter, temperatures can drop to very low values and snowfall can reach significant volumes.

This creates difficulties in parking, maneuvering and maintaining safety on the road.

However, thanks to the use of special tires, engine heating systems and improved power unit components, trucks can operate efficiently even in harsh winter conditions.

The main "habitat" of drivers is the northern part of Scandinavia.

They are usually transported from Finland to Norway, their shipments are generally metal, boards, empty pallets, construction materials and frozen fish.

The second main line is Danish. From the north of Norway, fish goes to Denmark.

Delivery must be made as quickly as possible, so cargo carriers need to "get out" in various ways.

The drivers' work and rest regime provides for a 24-hour pause once a week and a 45-hour pause every two weeks.

Usually these stops are made in Denmark, in the city of Padborg.

To summarize, cargo transportation in Scandinavia is a job that takes place in difficult terrain and requires special attention and planning.
