As you might have heard, TMP wanted to change the rules as of 01-01-2024 for verified VTCs (we are also verified). We asked our members in November and December what we could change to improve our event attendance. And have been busy looking at what was sensible to change and what was not.

From day 1, Global Cargo has always used a fixed truck and trailer at all public convoys (switching between the brands). The response from our members showed that some thought this was just a great point while others wanted free choice. The reward for events was also occasionally mentioned. When we attend events, we drive with empty trailers, and if you join in, you get a job on Trucksweb (our driver's system) from the event leader. We use empty trailers at events because they have minimal impact on convoys, and, therefore, making it easier for us to keep up with the convoy.

We in Management, after reading and hearing all the comments, have looked at how we could make changes that would make people attend more. We have since made these changes:

• Rewards for events have gone up with more money per km driven.
• More free choice of truck and trailer will be allowed at public events, but there will still be the occasional fixed truck and trailer.
• The DLC giveaway that we hold every month among drivers who participate in convoys has been modified slightly; you must now participate in a public convoy to have a chance of winning the DLC.

Furthermore, Management has spoken out again about whether or not convoy riding should be mandatory. Management sees nothing in making convoys mandatory. And the only activity requirement we have remains: 1 job registration every 3 months. (Since an event also generates a job registration, one event driving would then also be enough every 3 months) Finally, a few days before 2024, TMP decided not to let the announced rule change become active for now. But we let the rule changes above become activated as of 01-01-2024 for our members, as it gives our members more freedom in events. With the first half of this month done, we are looking at high event attendance numbers. We are pleased with this.
