From the beginning of Transit-X we've struggled to find out who we were. Starting as a generic standard VTC with no drivers it was extremely difficult to find that opportunity for growth and success, we needed to find a way to stand out, so I done some research and found out that next to no VTC's we're Irish founded and ever advertised over radio. In this same time period we figured out that TruckersFM had a free advertising spot so I knew I needed to secure my spot.
I immediately began to put hard earned money into the VTC and take this as seriously as I could, I hired my local voice actor (Michael Ryan - Cork) to make us a radio advertisement and as he got to work so did I, changing up the website to make it 100% Irish, just to be UNIQUE! That's what we were missing all along! A community that was original, an ad that was smart, a future that was visible.
Hearing our ad on the air for the first time was the most amazing thing ever. It took us 2 weeks until we began to gain traction and on November 13th we got multiple applicants, a few days later more and more came.
Did we make it? cause it sure does feel like it
The last 32 Days have been insanely busy for us, thanks to TruckersFM we've became noticed by VTC's we never imagined would be creating tickets with personal invitations to their own convoys. We've went from 5 drivers to 23 drivers and with everyone keeping their promise on activity. We've witnessed first hand that Transit-X can become more than what we ever expected!
We're making plans on creating one in the near future, and thankfully we've gathered a small number of event staff to assist, and I will be forever grateful to the community of people who have decided to trust us as a new VTC.
We have no plans on changing who we are, and I have no plans of ever becoming 'that guy' who doesn't communicate with their new and old drivers. I hope the person reading this is as curious as I am to see what the future holds for Transit-X!
Thanks for reading, Focus, Proud Founder of Transit-X VTC.
