Heavy Vehicles Turkey - FAQs

Since the announcement back in January that we would be partnering with HVT and bringing buses to the mod, we have received many questions about when HVT is added to TruckersMP and what it will bring to TruckersMP. Here are the answers to some of those frequently asked questions!

What is HVT?

Heavy Vehicles Turkey (HVT) is TruckersMP’s newest partner. They develop vehicle modifications for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Their bus modifications are of very high quality, and we want to bring some of them to TruckersMP, allowing for a more immersive bus simulation. Read all about it here.

When is HVT coming to TruckersMP?

Currently, there is no scheduled release for the HVT buses. Our team and the developers at HVT have a lot of work to do. They are working hard to get the project done as quickly as they possibly can without compromising quality. The team has recently been making progress on the integration, passenger animations, bus stops, the Bus Job Dispatcher, and much more.

Why is the development of the HVT integration taking so long?

There is a lot of work involved in fully supporting a mod at the scale of HVT. Things like vehicle animations, passenger animations, and many other aspects. Getting all of this done properly is our main goal. We do not want to rush this process: doing so could lead to many bugs being left undetected, which would negatively impact the experience for players, and we do not want that. So while it is taking us a long time to develop a working multiplayer version of HVT, we would like to assure you that the wait will certainly be worth it.

Can players expect features such as passenger systems, bus routes, or scheduled services alongside the HVT integration?

Yes! You will be able to create your own bus routes. Bus routes will be different from ordinary truck jobs: you will be able to create jobs with multiple stops, and you will have passengers to pick up and drop off at each stop.

What buses will HVT be providing to TruckersMP?

HVT will be providing one bus initially. This specific bus will be a high-quality asset with a lot of attention to detail. It is also well-suited for long-distance travel and highway speeds, which fits Euro Truck Simulator 2 very well.

Will the first HVT bus require any additional mods or paid content to use on TruckersMP?

No, HVT’s initial integration with TruckersMP will be completely free for anyone to use! All mods and essential mods for HVT will be automatically downloaded and installed by the TruckersMP launcher. You will not need to install a secondary client to use the new bus or its features.

Will HVT affect the implementation of SCS Coaches DLC?

At this point in time, we do not expect any issues when it comes to supporting the Coaches DLC alongside HVT on TruckersMP. Both HVT and the SCS Coaches DLC should be able to coexist with each other.
