How to use NVIDIA (Geforce Experience) to record in-game

You've read the Website Reporting Guidelines & FAQ and now you are wondering how you can record your game play to make website reports. If you haven't already read the Website Reporting Guidelines & FAQ, we recommend that you do so to learn the rules around using our web report system.
In this article, we cover how you can use NVIDIA (Geforce Experience) to record in-game, to collect your report evidence.
If you have an Nvidia GPU, NVIDIA (GeForce Experience) could be the best option for you.
- To start, you'll need to download the application here. Once you have installed and opened the application, you will want to go to the Drivers tab and check for any available updates. You should ensure your drivers are fully up to date. Click download next to the latest driver version.

- GeForce Experience Default Commands
- Alt + Z - Opens/Closes the in-game overlay.
- Alt + Shift + F10 - Toggle Instant Replay on/off.
- Alt + F10 - Save the last x minutes recorded.
- Alt + F9 - Toggle manual recording on/off and save.
NVIDIA (GeForce Experience) manual recording
If you have a lot of storage and prefer to record your entire journey this method might be for you;
- On your desktop, open the in-game overlay by pressing Alt + Z and go to the Settings cog button on the top right corner.

- Click Video Capture.

- Choose your resolution and frame rate and then press the back arrow on the top left corner.

- If you wish to save your clips to a custom location, go to Files and disk space.

- Select your desired location in Gallery location. Once completed you can press the check mark button (✔) on the top right corner and then go back to the main menu.

- In the main menu, you can click on Record or use the hotkey (Alt + F9) to start recording.
You can use the same methods to stop recording.

- Open the NVIDIA (GeForce Experience) overlay and go to Gallery.

- Select the clip you wish to upload to YouTube. This will open the clip in another window. Click Open Location in the bottom right corner.

- Now that you have a clip, head over to YouTube and click Create and then Upload Video.

- Wait until your video is done uploading and processing before submitting your report. Once completed, copy the video link and paste it into the report you are submitting.

NVIDIA (GeForce Experience) Instant Replay
The second method and more commonly used is what's called the Instant Replay. With this option you can save the last 15 seconds to 20 minutes. The recommended length would be around 2 minutes as this allows the Game Moderation Team to see the entire incident and allows them to decide who is at fault.
- On your desktop, open the in-game overlay by pressing Alt + Z and go to the Settings cog button on the top right corner.

- Click Video Capture.

- Choose your preferred Instant Replay Length. We recommended 2 minutes. Choose your resolution and frame rate and then press the back arrow on the top left corner.

- If you wish to save your clips to a custom location, go to Files and disk space.

- Select your desired location in Gallery location. Once completed you can press the check mark button (✔) on the top right corner and then go back to the main menu.

- In the main menu, click on Instant Replay and switch it on. You will get a notification saying Instant Replay is now active.


- When you want to clip something in-game, press Alt + F10 to save the last X minutes of game play. The minutes saved depends on what you set in Step 3.
- Open the NVIDIA (GeForce Experience) overlay and go to Gallery.

- Select the clip you wish to upload to YouTube. This will open the clip in another window. Click Open Location in the bottom right corner.

- Now that you have a clip, head over to YouTube and click Create and then Upload Video.

- Wait until your video is done uploading and processing before submitting your report. Once completed, copy the video link and paste it into the report you are submitting.
