Hey Truckers,

Along your journey, you might experience a player who won't follow the TruckersMP rules. This guide will assist you through the process of collecting the needed evidence and where to upload it.

Please keep in mind the following;

§1.4 - Reporting users

● The evidence you provide cannot be older than 1 month. Reporting users with evidence older than 1 month will lead to a ban from the reporting system.

● Spamming our report system with useless reports, reports using continuous freecam (Cam 0) to record or anything similar will lead to a ban from the report system.

● The evidence you provide us must be available for the length of the ban applied, plus one month.

● You can not report players with evidence that has not been recorded in-game by yourself.

● It is mandatory to fill in all required fields accurately when creating a report.

● Any evidence you provide must not be cropped, retouched or blurred in any way. Videos can only be cropped time-wise.

● Blocking, Ramming and Incorrect Way reports must have video evidence. Screenshots do not usually show the full story or the extent of the issue.

● Insulting in the text chat must be reported with the full chat open.

● Asking for a staff's priority with handling a report is not permitted.

● If a web-report has been declined, it's not permitted to create it again. The complaint must be addressed to the Game Moderation Management through the feedback system.

● Reporting staff must be done through the feedback system.

● For some basic guidelines on reporting, please look at this forum post here.

The most common used game recorders are;

  • GeForce Experience (Exclusive for Nvidia GPU's)
  • Medal.tv
  • OBS Studio
  • Windows 10 DVR

Once you have obtained all of your evidence, you may submit your report against the other player here. If you happen to be unfamiliar with the report system, you can check our other Knowledge Base article How to use the Report System.

Photos are available in the steps below for additional assistance.

GeForce Experience

If you have a Nvidia GPU this might be the best option for you. To start, you'll want to head over to GeForce Experience and download the application. Once installed, you will want to go to the "Drivers" tab https://i.imgur.com/ooRLwHt.png If you have any available updates - please update your drivers https://i.imgur.com/ACzWG5n.png

GeForce Experience Default Commands
Alt + Z - Opens/Closes the in-game overlay.
Alt + Shift + F10 - Toggle Instant Replay on/off.
Alt + F10 - Save the last x minutes recorded.
Alt + F9 - Toggle manual recording on/off and save.

With GeForce Experience you have two different recording options available.

The first method would be recording your game play manually. If you have a lot of storage and prefer to record your entire journey this method might be for you;

  • At your desktop open the in-game overlay (Alt + Z) and go to "Settings."

  • Scroll down until you see "Video Capture."

  • Choose your resolution and frame rate then hit "Back" when finished.

  • If you wish to save your clips to a custom location, go to "Recordings" and input a desired location.

  • Once completed you can hit "Back" and then "Done". Once you're at the main menu again you can click on "Record" or use the hotkey (Alt + F9) and it will prompt you "Recording has started"

  • Use the same method or hotkey (Alt + F9) to stop recording and it will prompt you "Recording has been saved"

  • Open the GeForce Experience overlay and go to "Gallery"

  • Select the clip you wish to edit then hit "Share"

  • Trim the clip and lower/mute the audio as required. Once everything is complete hit "Share"

  • You will see a notification saying Upload to YouTube started

  • Once completed you will be notified again by Upload to YouTube completed

  • At YouTube, you will see your video available to be used for your report(s).

The second method and more commonly used is what's called the Instant Replay. With this option you can save the last 15 seconds to 20 minutes. The recommended length would be 2-5 minutes as this allows the Game Moderation Team to see the entire incident and allows them to decide who is at fault.

  • At your desktop open the in-game overlay (Alt + Z) and go to "Settings."

  • Scroll down until you see "Video Capture."

  • Choose your preferred replay length. (Recommended 2-5 minutes) Choose your resolution and frame rate then hit "Back" when finished.

  • If you wish to save your clips to a custom location, go to "Recordings" and input a desired location.

  • Once completed you can hit "Back" and then "Done" Once your at the main menu again you can click on "Instant Replay" and "Turn On" it will notify you that Instant "Replay is now active."

  • In-game if something happens use (Alt + F10) to save the last X minutes of game play.

  • Once at YouTube, you will see your video available to be used for your report(s).

Medal.tv

Medal is a all in one program and it can be found here. It runs in the background and it can save anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes depending on how you configure it. Once you leave the game, it's able to automatically upload the clips you created and delete them from your PC to save disk space.

OBS Studio

OBS Studio is popular with both streaming services as well as local recording. You can get OBS here.

For manual recording;

  • Once you open OBS head over to "Settings"

  • Go to the "Output" and "Video" tabs and edit them to your desired settings.

  • Return to the Output category and go to the "Replay Buffer" tab. Enable it and set the Maximum Replay Time to 120 s = 2 minutes.

  • In settings, go to the Hotkeys category. Find "Buffer Replay" and set a Hotkey for the highlighted items.

  • Right-click under "Sources" and add a "Game Capture". Make it capture a specific window and then select ATS or ETS2 from the list as the window you wish to capture.

  • Before playing use the Hotkey you previously created to "Start Replay Buffer" (Alt + =)

  • In-game if something happens use the Hotkey previously created (=) to save the last 2 minutes of game play.

  • Now that you have a clip, head over to YouTube click Create and then Upload Video.

  • Wait until your video is done uploading and processing before submitting your report. Once completed copy the Video link and paste it into the report you are submitting.

Windows 10 DVR

If your looking for something lightweight and simple to use, Windows 10 DVR might be for you. It's automatically built in and no additional downloads are required.

  • Open your search bar and look for Game bar settings.

  • In the "Game bar" category, ensure you have Record game clips checked on as seen in the photo. You may also create a custom hotkey for "Record that"

  • In the "Captures" category you will see additional settings. Please verify the background recording is checked on as seen in the red box.

  • To save the last 3 minutes of game play use (Win + Alt + G) or your custom hotkey you created.

  • Now that you have a clip, head over to YouTube click Create and then Upload Video.

  • Wait until your video is done uploading and processing before submitting your report. Once completed copy the Video link and paste it into the report you are submitting.
