In this article, we will be explaining how you can get the Scout car and TruckersMP exclusive content in singleplayer.

Adding the map edit(s) to singleplayer is useful for those that are creating saves for events and convoys. If these saves are made without the map edit(s) active on your profile in singleplayer, the saves will not work on TruckersMP due to an economy reset. Which will spawn your vehicle at your home garage.

The necessary files are located in the “ProgramData” folder, which is a hidden folder. You will also need to enable the file extensions. To be able to view this folder and the file extensions you will have to do the following:

  1. Open your file explorer
  2. Go to the “View” tab View Tab
  3. In the “Show/hide” section enable “Hidden items” and "File name extensions"

Now you should be able to see the hidden folders and the file extensions.

Scout car

If you want to add the Scout car to your singleplayer game, you will have to get these file(s):

  • skoda_car.mp from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ats\mods or C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ets2\mods
  • sh_skoda_car.mp from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods

Accessory Pack

If you want to add the TruckersMP accessory pack to your singleplayer game, you will need to get the following file(s):

  • accessory_pack from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ats\mods or C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ets2\mods
  • sh_accessory_pack from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods

Map Edits

If you want to add the TruckersMP exclusive map edit(s) to your singleplayer game to drive around or create saves that you will use on our servers, you will need to get the following file(s):

  • hq_final from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ets2\mods
  • cd_changes from C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data\ets2\mods

There are a couple of methods to get these mods in the correct location for use in singleplayer. We will explain two of these methods below, they will achieve the same result but “Method 2” is slightly more complex.

Method 1

With this method, we will manually copy and paste the file(s) into your “mod” folder for singleplayer. The downside of this method is that if the files have been updated, you will have to do these steps again to make sure you have the latest available versions.

  1. If you have decided which file(s) you need, select and copy them. (You can select multiple files by holding “Ctrl” and selecting all the files)
  2. Now go to your “mod” folder for either American Truck Simulator C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod or Euro Truck Simulator 2 C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod.
  3. Right-click in the “mod” folder and paste the file(s) you copied earlier.
  4. Now you will have to rename all of the files, to make them work in singleplayer, to do this:
    1. Right-click on a file and select “Rename”
    2. Remove .mp from the filename
    3. Add .scs to the end of the filename

After you have done this you are all set and ready to go. For the order of the files please continue reading below “Method 2”.

Method 2

This method is a bit more complicated than the previous one. This will create a symbolic link in Windows, which allows the game to find the file(s) from TruckersMP and use them in singleplayer. However, you will not need to repeat these steps if the file(s) get updated at a certain point. Unless the filenames are changed or you want the additional file(s).

For this method you must have administrator permissions on your computer.

Now we can start with the necessary steps:

  1. Create a new text (.txt) file. (The name or location of this file does not matter)
  2. Open this file and paste the following depending on which file(s) you want to use:
(The same process can be used for other files as well)
    Scout:
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\sh_skoda_car.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods\sh_skoda_car.mp
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"American Truck Simulator"\mod\sh_skoda_car.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods\sh_skoda_car.mp
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\skoda_car.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\ets2\mods\skoda_car.mp
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"American Truck Simulator"\mod\skoda_car.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\ats\mods\skoda_car.mp
    pause
    Map Edits:
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\hq_final.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods\hq_final.mp
    mklink %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2"\mod\cd_changes.scs %PROGRAMDATA%\TruckersMP\data\shared\mods\cd_changes.mp
    pause
  3. Change the name of the file in both the first and second path to the filename of the map edit that you want. (Same as with the Scout, you can add multiple files if needed)
  4. Save the file and change the filename from .txt to .bat.
  5. Right-click on the file and execute it as administrator. (If you don’t have both games and pasted the code above, you will see 2 errors, this is normal as it is trying to enable it for a game you don’t own)

Now you can start the game and check the “Mod Manager”. If everything worked correctly, you should now see all the files that you added. Enable those mods and you will be able to use them in singleplayer.

Make sure that you put the mods in the following order, otherwise, it will not work correctly.

If you are using the map edit(s) to create saves for a convoy on our servers. Make sure that before you begin you check that it works correctly. You can do this, by going into singleplayer and creating a save. Then load up TruckersMP and connect to an arcade server, try to load the save that you created. If it does not reset you, then you have successfully added the necessary mods.

Because files are updated periodically to fix issues and add additional content, we will keep the list below updated whenever we complete file changes. This way you can check if you need to redo some steps to make sure that your files are up to date. Especially if you are using this to create saves, check back on this article regularly to make sure everything is still up-to-date.
