In certain situations, an organised event can be held on a dedicated server. This server will be set up according to your needs for the duration of your event, in order to guarantee a better experience for all of our players and your participants.

To ensure Event Management has sufficient time to process your request, you are required to submit your request at least 14 days before the start of your event. This means the last day you can request a server is on day 15. As this is an automated system, Event Management does not have the ability to override this restriction once the time limit has passed.

You can request an event server by clicking on the “Request Event Server” button on your event page. This button will only appear once you have fulfilled the following criteria:

  • You do not currently have any open event requests.

  • The start date is at least 14 days in the future.

  • The start date is less than 60 days in the future.

  • You have at least 50 confirmed sign-ups. (For most event server requests 100 confirmed signups are required. Please see below for more information on required sign-ups when requesting a server)

  • You have a route map added to your event page.

A detailed guide on event server configurations can be found here

Event Server Requirements:

Every request for a dedicated server will be reviewed on a case by case basis. The following criteria will be considered when reviewing your request:

  • A necessity due to the type and/or size of your event (A minimum of 100 confirmed sign-ups).

  • Required to ensure non-attendees will not suffer from the event (at the Event Management’s discretion).

  • The event has proven to have merit due to previous editions (minimum 50 confirmed sign-ups needed. At the Event Management's discretion).

  • Officially supported by TruckersMP (eg. events organised by partners).

We will additionally be looking at a number of qualities surrounding the event and the requestee which include:

  • Your activity on our services.

  • Your event attendees overall activity

  • Any current game or event related punishments on your account

  • All sections of your event page are completed and to a high standard. (No fields should show “TBA”, “Other” or similar).

Sign-up Requirements:

Depending on the style of event your hosting, the total confirmed sign-ups you require may differ.

You are required to have a minimum of 100 confirmed sign-ups when requesting an event server. You may be exempt from this if your event meets the below requirement.

If your event is part of a clearly named monthly series of events that have held an event server in the last two consecutive months then you are eligible to submit your request with a minimum of 50 confirmed sign-ups. However, If your events fail to achieve 100 participants, you will be required to acquire 100 sign-ups when submitting a request in the future.

If your request is declined, we will not reserve your requested date and time for a server. There is a chance other event organisers may book the same date and time, so please ensure your event meets the requirements before submitting your request.

Intentionally submitting a dedicated event server request when you do not meet the above requirements may result in a suspension from the system. Please double check your organised event meets the requirements, with sufficient evidence provided.

Evidence will still be required periodically for event organisers which are known to consistently meet the requirements.

TruckersMP reserves the right to accept or decline your request or disable your access to the system, for whatever reason we deem appropriate.

Event Temporary Rules

In special cases your event may involve controlling traffic, blocking roads, driving the incorrect way, or anything else that violates the TruckersMP Rules. For this, you can request Temporary Rules, which are reviewed by the Event Managers. You can include this on your Event Page, in the Temporary Rules section.

As part of your Temporary Rule set, you will be required to provide a list of Event Staff tags that you will be using throughout the duration of the event. These will need to have a clear prefix and must be of only one variant to prevent any confusion to both participants and the TruckersMP Team. We recommend using prefixes that relate to your event. (For example if your VTC was called Blue Line Cargo, the prefix of “BLC |” could be used.

The rules you want to apply during your event will be reviewed and granted by Event Managers on a case by case basis, depending on the needs of your event. Our global TruckersMP rules always apply by default, unless a rule you requested overrules this. Therefore, if no rules are requested, our TruckersMP rules still apply.

Game Moderator Assistance

Should your event have a substantial number of participants, you can also request assistance from our Game Moderation Team in the “Comments for Event Management” section of the event request. If you require Game Moderation assistance after your event server has been approved, you may submit a Feedback ticket to Event Management up to 7 days prior to your event. Once we have received your request, we will send a request to the Game Moderation team directly to support at your event. While we will do our utmost best to support every request, we can not guarantee a Game Moderator will be available for every event.

A Game Moderator’s role is to moderate the server and ensure your event runs smoothly. They are not expected to assist with the event any further, such as blocking roads, posting requested server announcements etc. If you require additional support such as this, you may ask the Game Moderator that attends your event, however it is up to the Game Moderator if they wish to assist with these additional tasks.

We ask that you respect the above process and do not contact our team directly on Discord, unless the respective person has explicitly said that you can contact them regarding your events. If you are found to repeatedly send unsolicited messages to our Game Moderation team, Event Management reserves the right to revoke your event server approval.

Real Operation Requests

We understand that “Real Operations” are becoming very popular at community events following the succession of TruckersMP’s Official Real Operation events. These style of community events are continuously under review due to the potential dangers such operations can pose and the risks of players being punished due to poorly managed operations.

We are currently allowing Real Operation style community events, however we do have some restrictions and requirements in place. Before planning these style of events, you first need to ensure you meet the below requirement and gain the relevant approval from Event Management.

The current requirements for Real Operation events are:

  • The event organiser(s) have hosted a number of events on our event servers previously.
  • The event organiser(s) have not received any event related punishments previously.
  • Event Management deems the event organiser(s) to be highly experienced with planning and executing events on our event servers.
  • The event organiser(s) should provide detailed documentation outlining the Real Operations scenarios they plan to conduct.

The following Real Operation scenarios will not be approved under any circumstance:

  • Forcing participants to drive the incorrect way for any length of distance.
  • Any operations that result in a collision.

Any Real Operation requests must be submitted with the corresponding event server request, or via feedback to Event Management no later than 14 days prior to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are valid forms of proof of participation?

The only valid form of proof of participation is the TruckersMP event system page - click here All other forms of proof are invalid and will result in the event server request being rejected.

Why can I not book my event over a TruckersMP Official Event?

We reserve the right to keep our event server capacity and server resources available for when we require it. This ensures we can accommodate everyone who wishes to attend. You can check the calendar where we aim to book events several months in advance, in order to try and avoid clashes.

How can I use a custom mod on the event server?

It is not possible to use custom mods on an event server. This is a feature that is reserved for TruckersMP Official and TruckersMP Partner events.

Any custom modded content that is used on our event servers goes through a rigorous testing and approval process and is then pushed to the client through an update. The modded content is then downloaded by hundreds of thousands of players, with each player downloading anywhere between 1-30MB of data. This uses a lot of bandwidth and resources on the network, so we aim to keep modded content pushes to a minimum.

Can I request the Scout Police accessories?

Police accessories are exclusive to the TruckersMP team. They are not available for players and it is impossible to request them. We have provided Pilot accessories to everyone for use in convoys.

Can I request the event server daytime cycle to be set to a specific time of day?

It is not possible to set the server to a specific time of day as all our servers are synced to the same cycle.

Is the event server requestee/event organiser expected to attend the event?

The event organiser on the event server request page is expected to attend the event as they are responsible for the event and their Event Staff. The organiser is expected to be contactable in game should anyone from the TruckersMP team need to reach out to them. If the event organiser is found to repeatedly not attend their event, Event Management reserves the right to revoke their access to request event servers in the future.
